00:00Magic as well, yeah, I know, straight up.
00:02We have a premiere to go to.
00:30This group right here.
00:48Hi, Colin.
00:51You look wonderful.
00:52Thank you very much.
00:53I'm Scottish, so I'm staying warm.
00:55You know, Scottish blood.
00:56Listen, this film was like a fairy possession for me.
00:58I'm thinking about everything,
01:00every choice I've ever made in my life.
01:02Yeah, lovely.
01:02Tell me why you wanted to go on this big, bold, beautiful journey.
01:07I just thought it was beautiful scripts.
01:09That's all.
01:10It was just a lovely story.
01:11I did have a fondness for the magical realism of it all.
01:17And I knew that Koganada,
01:19having worked with them before and after Yang,
01:20was going to make something that was aesthetically very beautiful.
01:23But I suppose it was just the heart at the center of it.
01:24It was a really kind, compassionate story, you know?
01:27Absolutely.
01:27And what's this film needs to be experienced
01:29on the big screen at the cinema?
01:30Because it's just better to go to the movies, man.
01:32And I'm someone who streams at home
01:33and watches stuff at home all the time.
01:35But it's just, I love, it's one of my favorite things.
01:38One of my favorite memories from the youngest years
01:41is going to the cinema with my mother,
01:44with my father, with my uncles and stuff.
01:46And then later on, 12 or 13 with friends of mine.
01:48But it's always been something,
01:49no matter how many films I do, I'm an actor now,
01:51it never loses its magic,
01:52no matter how many times I go to the cinema.
01:54There's just something about the event,
01:56going up to the concession stand,
01:57getting your grub,
01:58going in with a bunch of strangers,
02:00or on your own in an afternoon in an empty room.
02:02Camille have its own little bit of romance.
02:04But going out to see a movie on a big screen in the cinema
02:06has always been magic.
02:07Do you have to make advice for someone
02:09who wants to follow their dream,
02:11but maybe, you know, they're scared to take the heat?
02:14Because I think this movie was really inspiring.
02:17Yeah.
02:19Ah, yeah, stepping into your fears
02:20and even falling short of what you hoped for
02:22is a far lesser pain to heal
02:25than having regret, I think.
02:26So just go for it, you know?
02:28Are you describing the movie every look?
02:30Yeah, hopeful, playful, and joyful.
02:40We'd be doing you a disservice
02:41if we didn't ask about Margot.
02:43I mean, the two of you together,
02:44what was that like?
02:44She's a dream.
02:45Oh, she's magic.
02:45No, no, no, honest to God, she is magic.
02:48And not the obvious, I mean,
02:49she's lovely and she's talented as they come.
02:51But she's just, she's so much fun.
02:53She's a deeply kind person
02:55and just an extraordinary dance partner.
02:57I just had, like, one of the best times I've ever had
03:00in making this film.
03:01I'd love to do more with her, you know?
03:03And there was no introductory phase
03:05from the minute we met each other.
03:07I think there's a similarity
03:08between the Aussies and the Irish anyway
03:09with the banter and a bit of, you know,
03:11not taking things too serious
03:12but also not taking them too lightly either
03:15where needs be.
03:15But it was a dream working with her, a dream.
03:17And Scots as well.
03:17Yeah, no, for sure, 100%.
03:19Absolutely, no, it's a certain kind of spiritedness that, yeah.
03:22You're magic too, though.
03:23You're magic as well.
03:24Yeah, no, straight up.
03:26See you, love.
03:26All the best.
03:27Thank you, everyone.
03:50I was really trying to make the next one
03:52is in here.
03:52Oh, my God, you look absolutely set.
03:55You look amazing.
03:55Oh, yeah.
03:56We have a premiere to go to.
03:58Margot, please, honestly, give us all a chance, girl.
04:01Oh, God, I know.
04:02Listen, that story is so beautiful.
04:04I feel like it was a therapy session for me.
04:06Yeah, it was for all of us, I think, obviously.
04:08Why did you want to go on this big, bold, beautiful journey?
04:10It felt special.
04:11Like, even when I read it,
04:12I was like, I think I'm going to have
04:13a really special, amazing time making this movie.
04:16And knowing that Colin was on board
04:18and I've always wanted to work with him,
04:19I was like, yeah, it just feels like this
04:21is going to be something a little bit magical.
04:23And I really didn't want to miss out on it.
04:25Why does this need to be filmed
04:27seen on the big screen at the cinema?
04:28I mean, everything's better on the big screen, obviously.
04:31But a movie like this,
04:32where A, it's visually really, really beautiful,
04:35but it's also like one of those feel-good films
04:39where, like, being with a group of people
04:41when you see it is kind of extra special
04:43because it is one of those films
04:44that makes you look around and be like,
04:45well, my life isn't ordinary.
04:47It's pretty extraordinary.
04:49And when you have that communally,
04:50I think it hits a little harder.
04:51Thank you so much.
04:52Sorry, guys, I forgot this next question.
04:54Do you want me to quickly answer one?
04:56Just an exercise for someone
04:57who wants to fill their dreams.
04:59To fill their dreams?
05:00Go for it.
05:00Always go for it.
05:01Thanks, Cargo.
05:07It's like a coming-of-age film
05:09playing out through shared memories.
05:11Yeah, yeah.
05:11And experience and memories.
05:13We both share a love of heavy metal.
05:15I love the water.
05:17Heavy metal.
05:18What's your way to access your favourite memories?
05:22What's your internal doorway?
05:23Is it film?
05:23Is it music?
05:24Film, music.
05:26You know, like, I have a curfing for every character
05:29and if I smell it, I'm like,
05:30oh, I'm now in that.
05:31Oh, sorry.
05:32I'm now in that, you know.
05:34So, yeah, a bit of all of that.
05:35But, yeah.
05:36Film, music, favourite memory?
05:38Your favourite film memory.
05:39It's not extreme.
05:40Favourite film memory?
05:41Oh, God.
05:42Do you know what?
05:42I went to go see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
05:45in the same cinema
05:46where my character goes to see her film
05:48and so it was like a, yeah,
05:50very meta moment
05:51and that was,
05:52I went on my own
05:53and it was amazing.
05:54It was amazing.
05:54It was amazing.
05:54It was amazing.
05:55It was amazing.
05:56It was amazing.
