Members of anti-gentrification collectives in Mexico City gathered on Sunday (Sept 14) to protest rising housing rents and the eviction of local residents from their homes during Independence Day festivities.

The protest was called the “Anti-Gentrification Cry,” calling on the President to deliver a shout on September 15 to mark Independence Day.
