00:00Hello and welcome to What's On in Wigan. The Believe in Business Festival is proudly delivered
00:05by the Business Consortium in partnership with Wigan Council. There will be a keynote from
00:10business leader John Heaton at 9am, six expert-led sessions, interactive workshops, analysis on
00:16market and more. It takes place on Thursday, September 25th at The Edge. Arrivals are from
00:228am with an 8.30am start and tickets are available online.
00:26Are you bonkers and like playing with conkers? Have you got the skills to be the conker
00:32champion? There will be conker battles throughout the evening and it costs £2 to join the league.
00:37You can bring your own conkers, max 3 per player and natural conkers only. Conkers will also
00:45be available to buy on the night and all proceeds are donated to Prostate Cancer UK. This event
00:51takes place at Wigan Central on Friday, September 26th and it starts from 7pm. The annual Wigan
00:57and Lee Short Film Festival returns next to the Lee Film Factory for an unmissable weekend
01:02of powerful storytelling, bold ideas and fresh perspectives from emerging and established
01:07filmmakers across the globe over two nights on Saturday and Sunday September 27th and 28th.
01:14Each evening starts at 7pm and tickets are available online. And finally, on Saturday September 27th
01:21at 10.30am, the Girls Club will be gathering at Haywoodland Park for a peaceful stroll in
01:26aid of suicide prevention month. The walk is for anyone whether you survived an attempt, lost
01:31someone to suicide or simply want to show you a part. Together you'll walk with love remembrance
01:36and hope. This event is completely free and donations are welcome but never expected. Everybody
01:42please welcome including adults and children.
