00:00all these former players coming out now and uh and commentators talking about uh based specifically
00:06on the game against against kansas city on sunday that i hate it they did it seven times
00:12it's not real football when the real complaint at least this particular game was not the tush push
00:20itself the complaint was the fact that the eagles offensive line either lined up offsides or moved
00:28literally a millisecond which i know is a lot and you can see the picture there that white bar kind
00:34of represents the line of scrimmage the top of it so yes you have three eagles offensive linemen
00:39maybe a fourth there that according to this your graphic we're showing you absolutely would was
00:45ahead of the ball ahead of the line of scrimmage now to be fair i could show you a similar image
00:50where the kansas city chiefs defensive line two or three of them were also in the quote unquote
00:55neutral zone yep but sometimes you have to listen to the details of an argument to understand what's
01:02the argument really about because we've taken the argument from sunday and we it's morphed into
01:09the tush push needs to be outlawed but that wasn't the complaint the complaint was not that they executed
01:16the tush push the complaint which is a fair one is that the eagles jumped off sides should have been a
01:23five-yard penalty for motion before the snap fine i'm with that you're dead on right but what happens
01:31when you're not good at arguing or you're mad because you lost your bet or you're just a flat-out
01:36chiefs fan or you're pandering uh possibly to mahomes or whomever you want to pander to
01:41is you lose sight of what the real argument is the tush push is legal they had a chance to get it out of
01:48the league the owners voted to keep it it was close but there was a vote to keep it if you go back and
01:54watch that game the argument again and frankly um i think you i who's doing the game um brady was it
02:02romo no it was burkhart was it brady yeah brady brady i'm sorry tom brady kept pointing out not
02:08anything bad about the tush push but about them being off sides right that's the argument so the
02:14argument shouldn't be now the eagles have an illegal play the argument can't be the eagles only won the
02:20game because of the tush push no when travis kelsey drops a touchdown pass right there on the goal line
02:27if he makes that catch maybe the chiefs win right right so from that kicker missed the field goal and
02:34and the butker missed the early field goal that's a game change of play right that ties the game the
02:38kelsey touchdown wins the game right so i understand being upset that the refs did not call it it's not
02:46hard to call they just chose not to call it or maybe they didn't see it but it's so funny to me hearing
02:52people complain about the play when the argument should not be about the play the argument should
02:59be about the officiating of the play right and when you're a franchise that's got the benefit of more
03:06calls in any franchise in nfl history zip it zip it zip it yeah zip it zip it you gotta zip your lip
03:15on that one you can't come out now complaining about officiating when you won three super bowls
03:20because of officiating you you can't do it and the other part is we could just say it nfl officials
03:26aren't that good no and what i mean is you're taking the best athletes in the world yes and now you have
03:32part-time accountants and plumbers and lawyers yeah officiating the best people i'll go a step
03:37further being a ref on a pro level i'm not talking about the local ref that helps out kids it's not
03:42an honorable profession no excuse me excuse me great athlete you went off sides there's something wrong
03:48with you if that's what your job well i mean unless they are offsides and they get to call right
03:52but that's honorable no no to call it is fine yeah but that's what you want to do with your life well
03:57listen it pays well you only got to work 18 sundays a year and you get a couple hundred thousand bucks
04:01to do it but i've long advocated for professional full-time referees and i think they should be in
04:07shape i think you should take guys that wanted to be players that just couldn't get to the nfl who
04:12are in great shape who love the sport of football and put them into a system where they can be taught
04:16how to become referees and then you have a great pool of good athletes who also understand the sport
04:21that can officiate so the when you hear the bitching about the tush push today
04:25the message is all wrong they're complaining about the refs don't make it a complaint about an
04:31unstoppable play and frankly if you could run that play in the same level that philly does
04:36you would run it we all would because they start every uh every series out first and nine it ain't
04:42first and ten because they've got a play that you cannot stop
