00:00Has it meant more the longer you've been associated with it?
00:04I think that the gap between the two clubs in my first stint was as close as it had ever been.
00:10We'd had our times when we finished above them a couple of times,
00:14but I've got to say it's been hard because they've been such a successful football club winning trophies.
00:20We've had to live with that and get on with our own problems, which we've had probably more recently.
00:27But I think certainly now we're in a much better place and we look as if we're heading towards a much better place as well.
00:34And when you look at the challenge that you'll face against them, what difference do you see in Liverpool this season compared to last?
00:41Well, obviously they've bought in a lot of really good players.
00:45Over recent years, Jurgen Klopp's teams have been fantastic.
00:49I think Arnie Slott's come in and done a brilliant job for his club in the one year he's been here.
00:54They've gone out and bought some real top players, which has strengthened them again.
00:59So they've looked to improve again.
01:02But I think we've improved as well.
01:04And I think from my point of view, I have to look at us and what we are doing.
01:07And I want us to keep improving and getting better if we can.
