00:00Hello everybody, welcome to episode 3. I hope you guys have learnt a lot, I hope you guys
00:08have gotten a lot of knowledge with this podcast, this is episode 3, and I'm excited at how
00:15far we've come. So today we're going to understand how we balance our independence and guidance
00:20and let me tell you this, as we grow older, it's essential to balance our desire for independence
00:27with the guidance and wisdom of our parents. The Bible encourages us to train up a child
00:32in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it. In Proverbs
00:3722 verse 6, I've said this before. And however, this doesn't mean we shouldn't develop our
00:41own decision-making skills and independence. Making decisions and taking responsibility
00:47for our actions is crucial for personal growth. The Bible reminds us that each of us will give
00:53an account of ourselves to God in Romans 14 verse 12. As we make decisions, we should
00:57consider our parents guidance while also taking ownership of our own choices. Finding a balance
01:03between independence and guidance can be a bit challenging and I know it can be challenging
01:08and the Bible encourages us to honor your father and your mother in Exodus 20 verse 12 while
01:15also not conforming to the to the pattern of the world in Romans 12 verse 2. And by seeking
01:21God's wisdom and guidance, we can navigate this balance and make decisions that align with
01:27our values and goals. For instance, when making decisions about education or career paths, we
01:32might seek our parents advice while also considering our own passions and interests. By balancing independence
01:39and guidance, we can make informed decisions that reflect our values and goals. Let's reflect
01:45on our relationship with our parents. How do you balance your desire for independence with
01:50the guidance and wisdom of your parents? What strategies can you use to communicate effectively
01:55and make decisions that align with your values and goals? As the Bible says, get wisdom,
02:01get understanding. Do not forget my words or turn away from them. Proverbs 4 verse 5.
02:07Let's seek wisdom and guidance as we navigate our relationships and make decisions. This is
02:13episode 3 of Our Parents Always Right or of the Believe Podcasts Part 1, Our Parents Always
02:20Right. Let's move with this word today. I hope you have a wonderful day everybody. And I cannot
02:31wait to see you again tomorrow. Have a wonderful day. Bye.
