00:00Eagles-Rams is a huge game in the NFC.
00:03Two teams looking to show why they belong at the top.
00:10And you would think the, to some degree,
00:13Eagles wouldn't need to show that,
00:15but they aren't even at the top of the NFC odds anymore.
00:19The Packers have been pushed out in front.
00:22I understand they've looked good through two weeks,
00:25but my, oh my, you know, what?
00:29Just keep feeding the fodder.
00:31I don't know, man.
00:32Like, Don, let's just start that price-wise.
00:34Do you think Green Bay should be at the top of this market?
00:37No.
00:38Like, I understand that you've got the shiny new toy in Michael Parsons.
00:41It makes your defense much better.
00:43They looked electric in week number one
00:44versus a very high-flying Detroit team that we saw in week number two
00:47can still put up some points.
00:48But also understand this.
00:49You're looking around the NFL and saying to yourself,
00:52all right, well, who else is in the NFC?
00:54Oh, the Eagles, yeah, don't worry about them.
00:55All they do is win football games.
00:57All they do is beat the Green Bay Packers.
00:59Now, they're going to have a matchup against them this year,
01:01but it's so much of that what the public sees early in the expectations.
01:05Yeah, they're high.
01:06Well, you're telling me right now in a win-all type game,
01:08both teams come in healthy on a neutral site like the Super Bowl,
01:12which they can't play.
01:13I'm just using this.
01:13Yeah, I got you.
01:13I got you.
01:13The Eagles are a favorite.
01:15I agree.
01:15The Eagles are a favorite.
01:16I – one of the reasons that, like,
01:18I didn't bet Philly again for the Super Bowl is I do think that there is a –
01:22Schedule's ridiculous.
01:23It's not even – but I also think there's a repeater tax, right?
01:26Like, you're not just betting Philly to win the Super Bowl.
01:29This year, it would be going back-to-back.
01:30It's a very, very difficult thing to do.
01:33But I think that there are some questions that come with Green Bay
01:36when the postseason begin with the floor and love.
01:38I'm not really surprised by the number.
01:41I'm sure there are – a team like the Rams, though, right, thinks,
01:44okay, hold on.
01:45If Green Bay can get in front of them, we got to be a little bit closer.
01:48Again, the Rams are – it's the old Bucs-Brady Super Bowl
01:54where everybody's like, man, a commander's put the fear of God in that team.
01:57It's like, well, did they?
01:58You know, the Rams – people are like, if that game was five minutes longer,
02:02the Rams would have won.
02:03What are you talking about?
02:04I just don't know what game these people watched.
02:05If it didn't snow, it would be 45-3 Eagles.
02:07So, what are you – like, you know, come on.
02:08Like, what are we even talking about?
02:10For the Rams, though, Donnie, look, they've been winning very consistently
02:14except for when they play the Eagles.
02:16Their defense has been very good.
02:17Yes.
02:17Except for when they play the Eagles.
02:19I think this is a proven spot for the Rams, not the other way around.
02:23This is a three-and-a-half-point number here that's moved in favor of the Rams,
02:27opened at four-and-a-half.
02:29Are you betting this game?
02:30How are you betting this game?
02:31Talk to me.
02:32Look, if we're looking at the total, the 44-and-a-half,
02:34I'm going to get that in just a second because that's why I'll be betting it.
02:36But the three-and-a-half, I do agree with at this point
02:38because the Eagles haven't shown us right now we're going to be in runaway
02:40and hide mode just yet.
02:41You know, Jalen Hurts is a very good quarterback, and quite frankly,
02:44he doesn't get enough grace, I should say, for saying,
02:47I win football games.
02:49Like, what would you rather?
02:50We go play Mahomes.
02:51Oh, man, 41-40 Hurts, 375, four touchdowns they lost.
02:55Boy, that guy's good.
02:56Or no.
02:56Hey, you know what?
02:57I'm going to play within myself.
02:58I'm not going to turn the football over.
02:59I'm going to play within the game script here, and we're just going to win.
03:01It doesn't matter who gets the accolades.
03:03But looking at this game today, I do think the Eagles have an advantage.
03:06It's nice weather in Philadelphia.
03:07It's a one o'clock game, which is usually a detriment sometimes,
03:09those West Coast teams just on the body clock itself.
03:11But I always look and say, the Eagles feed off of this.
03:15You only won last week because of the tush push,
03:17which is the most insane thing I've ever heard,
03:19which was a national media perspective.
03:20Jalen Hurts has been running commercials since the Super Bowl.
03:23Like, you doubt me all this time, and yet I'm entering into the season where,
03:26and I use it up until that game on Thursday night.
03:28Josh Allen doesn't throw a touchdown pass.
03:30What a win.
03:31What a win by Buffalo.
03:32You have that with Jalen Hurts, oh, something's wrong,
03:35and he's just hanging on for the ride because the team is so talented.
03:37But for me, from a side perspective, there's no way, Kevin,
03:40and we keep it to the common elements here.
03:42I think the Eagles win, but I don't think they can cover.
03:44It's three and a half.
03:45Are you kidding me at this point right now?
03:47So for me, I do think the Eagles win.
03:48Do I love taking them at three and a half?
03:50No.
03:50But I see where the public is coming from saying, like,
03:53yeah, we'll take the three and a half,
03:54but is anybody saying, well, I think the Eagles win and they don't cover?
03:56I thought we were actually going to get to a situation, Donnie,
04:00where this would be a little bit like Packers Commanders last Thursday
04:03where all of a sudden it got down to a flat three,
04:05and I played Green Bay at that point in time,
04:06and I would have played Philly down to a, if they got down to just the field.
04:09Because you're just saying to win the game at that point and you don't lose.
04:11At that point, that number would have been too good to pass up on.
04:14Now, when this opened up at four and a half,
04:17I thought the Rams were plenty fine bet at four and a half.
04:20And in fact, you know, I was like, I hope it gets under four and a half
04:23because then I won't bother with the spread.
04:24And that's obviously exactly what happened here.
04:27The Rams, you know, they're going to be challenged on both sides of the ball.
04:33What is fair is wondering how Philly will present challenges to their defense.
04:39Correct.
04:39Will it be the Saquon show?
04:41Will the offense start to open it up a little bit more through the air?
04:46Well, if it's A, it won't be B.
04:49And last year, they played twice and it was A-plus.
04:54Yes, Saquon Barkley in the first one, a career-high 255 rushing yards,
04:59two rushing touchdowns, chipped in 47 through the air
05:01to get you a 300-plus total yard game.
05:05And then in the divisional round where the Rams were like,
05:08we got to stop this guy, they opened the game, by the way,
05:10giving up a 40-yard rushing touchdown to Jalen Hurts.
05:13And then Saquon went for 205 and two touchdowns.
