00:00staff if you really object to having photos and videos
00:03for you. Please note that I'm the committee staff and the new
00:07organisations are around to take photos and information about the standing orders
00:11that relate to the examination of the witness.
00:15I'm Superintendent Cooper, who's currently
00:19on Lee. This police district encompasses 16
00:23police stations. I, Darren, in Bochy, swear that the evidence
00:27I shall be with all this committee should be the truth, but I'll do nothing but the truth, so I'll be glad.
00:32Thank you, Sam. South Wales areas has experienced youth crime
00:35across the district, with more equine being subject to significant media
00:39coverage. We have an authorised strength of 221
00:43sworn staff and currently operating at around 72%.
00:48With three 24-hour
00:51stations, we have three first response policing agreements
00:55and we have to meet
00:57and this requires at times for staff attached to
01:00smaller sectors to work
01:01at the 24-hour stations.
01:03The staff will be Superintendent.
01:06Superintendent Christopher Glenn-McCinnon, the commander
01:09of the New England Police District.
01:16So I, Christopher Glenn-McCinnon, swear that...
01:19...in particular with the community safety
01:23and not only the value of the local government, but certainly as cost-shipping comes back from
01:31state governments, back to communities, there's an expectation that local government stand up and play a new role.
