00:30:37it would be coffee maker fridge and then that's perfect we had a coffee machine we had a few
00:30:45appliances but we ran out of time did we have a coffee machine oh no into the bedroom and darren
00:30:52saw a lot of additional amenity it would be hard for me to leave this space yeah this is a lot of
00:30:56bank for you but this is so so much amenity and so much inclusion and drama it's a really beautiful
00:31:03well-considered space the amount of work that they have to do with a wet area a kitchenette and a
00:31:10secondary suite this is a huge week of work and especially with the buyers jury they did win
00:31:17fifty thousand dollars for the buyers jury so what the buyers in the domain event loved your dalesford
00:31:25aesthetic and shana agreed with them today saying this room feels really consistent with the rest of
00:31:31the home but elevated that's good can i just say the fabric of that bedhead is so beautiful the bedhead
00:31:39you chose is absolutely stunning yes feel that feel it like the lure oh it is it's a velour yeah so
00:31:48it is a blue which gives it the shimmer the compliments kept on coming emma and ben i love
00:31:54the chair the lamp it feels such a boutique hotel suite without feeling unattainable dan was also loving
00:32:03it all his only note was the cutting in of the green paint yeah i'm sure they were wishing
00:32:10that they could cut that line in between the ceiling and the wall a little bit better it is very it's

00:33:26the room the placement of this door is fabulous because you can open the door right you've got
00:33:32the toilet hidden you've got enough space allocated here for the vanity i just think that is completely
00:33:38within their control and they chose exactly the right place to put it it's a beautifully laid out
00:33:43great space with lots of amenity and it looks stunning marty thinks it's highly marketable and will
00:33:50shoot really well for your domain listing you go portrait on this angle and you catch the tiles
00:33:57the plants the tops of the trees and this color palette that is such an incredible shot to buyers
00:34:03to see through this main app and just one little thing i know i know i know well the glass doesn't match
00:34:10up with that i feel like emma and ben are about perfection and just those little things are so
00:34:16important a little bit of missing paint or poor cutting in is something the judges were willing to
00:34:21look past this week oh it's so close to perfect it is perfect yes there's an exponential that we need
00:34:29to apply because of difficulty and fatigue yeah that handicap will come into my my scoring
00:34:34this is so high in what we're going to be judging from i feel afraid for the next boy absolutely this
00:34:43is a very high bar that's it ben and em great feedback well done
00:34:51considering we we're still cutting in and painting first thing this morning to get that room to what it
00:34:57was at nine tools down is just it was a huge achievement we're proud of ourselves yeah we're

00:36:32that would be above above that and then we're going to be doing vj panels for the rest of it
00:36:38there'll be red um featuring from the bathroom through to the bedroom this week call 1300
00:36:45choose your red now minor red glazed ruby hopefully it's the right shade
00:36:50block shop orders here two massive mirrors artworks three massive seats like literally the entire block
00:37:01shop just got delivered our race orders arrived also bringing back some resin bathware this week

00:37:15that's good yeah inspiration for the room this week primarily comes from trying to keep our home cohesive
00:37:29i'm incredibly disappointed in our guest bedroom and ensuite for the fact it isn't finished
00:37:42it's unstyled it's filthy the painting is not good
00:37:47i'm embarrassed that people are even looking at it
00:37:52who cares we've got an incredible vision for it you've got all the there we'll fix it up

00:38:08marty thinks the lack of kitchenette will have an impact on the value as buyers will be going
00:38:13from house to house if the valuer were to walk through and value this asset versus house one this
00:38:19will have a less contribution based on the less amenity that's a that's a major problem for these guys
00:38:26darren thinks the google functionality with the home probe blinds is a great inclusion

00:40:05a tiny little part there of shoving yourself in there in a cubby hole yes what i do what i do
00:40:09really yeah i'll be sitting here i watch my husband do it all the time poor olivia i don't
00:40:15know how he shoves himself in a little little box there i i've also seen him the shoulders on him are
00:40:19like that he wouldn't fit in there the study nook could easily be repurposed it's got a powerpoint
00:40:30put a bar fridge with the coffee lower those shelves down put a couple cups and all of a sudden you now
00:40:36have your little little mini bar and this is now very marketable that would be easy to do girls
00:40:42wouldn't it absolutely yeah the judge is then headed into the bathroom we're seeing we're seeing
00:40:50this unfinished that's a bit strange that's a very funny little makeup spot shona thinks this should
00:40:59be in the bedroom obviously they haven't finished it well wouldn't that look fantastic in the bedroom
00:41:05even if you did turn it into a zoom area this this should be in the bedroom this is the glamour she
00:41:11was looking for in the study nook in the bathroom they found a room that darren loved
00:41:18this is really sophisticated and very current it's balanced and nuanced and still really punchy and bold

00:42:51is just making it a fully self-contained room you have the kitchenette you have your bathroom you have
00:42:57your bedroom and it's it's big enough to have a little living area there as well and it's accessible
00:43:01from outside you've got to have a little kitchenette would be incredible based off your inspo put
00:43:09together a bit of a scheme for you here we've got um under bench the alabaster smooths the option to do
00:43:15the caribou to the top section i think that'll be beautiful to have that warmth with the caribou
00:43:22today was a big day i had to head to reese and beaumonts to make selections for the guest bathroom
00:43:27that we're doing i think the travertine to bring in some warmth i just see things like yep that'll
00:43:31work that'll work that'll work we'll go with the 360. yep yeah like this yes perfect
00:43:39in this room we want to do more like autonoma tones so some rich deep colors and pinks and burgundies
00:43:45really warm and inviting
00:43:48we also want to do some half height wood paneling around the room which is going to be stained walnut
00:43:53oh you've got a kitchenette interesting because i thought another team had it in the bag but now
00:44:02i feel as though you could have it in the bag we've got to finish you've got to finish of course
00:44:07we've not hit this low before in the show and we don't want to continue but we know nothing gets
00:44:23easier so we've really got to just cop the whack tonight and just get into it it's going to be a big
00:44:30whack but hopefully the vision is a self-contained guest swing and that appeals to a lot of eyes
00:44:38oh kitchenette number two yay that's beautiful that's lovely sorry just a second tactile lots of
00:44:47lovely things to tell there's a fridge in there what you were asking so microwave fridge sink toaster
00:44:56kettle and shana was loving the new ribbed profile on the cabinetry this cabinetry i've never seen
00:45:03this before i'm in love with these cupboards this and it gives such a beautiful energy when you walk
00:45:10in it's quite calming yes however marty was perplexed with the wall paneling the wall paneling
00:45:19feels a bit odd well it looks a bit odd it's it's i feel like it's not as it's not as polished as
00:45:28the rest of the other rooms i mean is that meant to be painted well you know why you know why staining
00:45:32takes it needs to be painted imagine staining each single one of these one at a time darren pointed out
00:45:40just how much time and effort must have gone into it yeah like that's that's one piece here right
00:45:47so they would have that would have taken forever i don't mind it it does need a seal it just feels
00:45:54a little bit raw that's that's its problem in the bedroom shana was loving it all
00:46:01i love the size of the rug i love the huge bedsides even though they're not actual bedsides they're more
00:46:08sort of sofa tables they work perfectly the color palette the texture the way this is laid out as though
00:46:15you're a guest you've been invited smart it's it does have that beautiful invitation to it they
00:46:21would however have liked more wardrobe space is they're hanging on that side yeah double yeah so
00:46:28they've really set it up purely as a weekender because if this was a full-time residence this doesn't
00:46:33cut the mustard marty was finding it too rustic for a home with 175 grams worth of appliances in the
00:46:41kitchen and laundry walk into here and i think it's a miss it feels way too rustic for the rest of this
00:46:48luxurious house it's not as refined but it's still refined in its own way it does feel country it does
00:46:55feel daleford and i really like the resolution of all the colors and materials in here i think it's
00:47:00really really pretty severe luxe treatment is very dramatic it delivers a wonderful connection
00:47:05to the sky above it's huge yeah it's very uh house five-esque isn't it it is they they really sort
00:47:12of have taken the best of the house five voids and applied that in here and it's dramatic you have this
00:47:18sense of of connection to the sky and also this massive void that just adds the luxury of space above
00:47:24your head and that's the stuff that it's hard to quantify but you really appreciate it was at this
00:47:29point that they clocked a sign on the bathroom door room under construction do not enter is not a good
00:47:37sign oh okay oh my god oh it's actually there's nothing in here
00:47:50oh my goodness
00:48:05so good well it would be so good look at the size of that velux toilet's in the right spot
00:48:12vanity's in perfect spot massive shower we've got a completed kitchenette a completed bedroom
00:48:18and an unfinished bathroom
00:48:24whatever happened in here whether it was an ordering issue or it was a trades issue
00:48:30i don't get the sense that it was their time management that was the problem doesn't feel like
00:48:36that does it it doesn't feel like it to me from what i see out here it's heartbreaking because this room
00:48:42finished would clearly have been a contender for the win this week
00:48:46i'm so disappointed for them because something major has gone wrong here
00:48:51i mean if this was finished this would have been a contender this week you can feel it you can see
00:48:57it you can sense it oh yeah it's quite heartbreaking for them
00:49:00a really tough week for you both but put it all behind you and keep on going you are nearly there that's it
00:49:12very disappointing um not the worst feedback in the world you know we thought we'd get
00:49:17torn to shreds if you want to hear that we could be contenders was was also a bit damning as well
00:49:31as it's okay okay i'm starting to release oh yep
00:49:46this week i would say it would have been the biggest week we've had on the block
00:49:50i was smart i went the week before with adrian curcio our tyler to beaumont that paid off i
00:50:00walked straight in and picked my tiles in and out so you can do that and repeat it keep repeating it
00:50:05so it looks like that color that color that color that color does that make sense yeah
00:50:09at reese it's first in best dressed and once it's off the table that's it there's no messing
00:50:15around here i know what i like i got in and i got out i want that walnut vanity tick tick tick tick tick
00:50:27we've had our freedom wardrobe consult and i really i back this room i'd love to make it a little bit
00:50:33self-contained awesome could do a bit of a pantry style situation here with a little coffee station
00:50:39yeah but in terms of color did you have anything in mind i think i might like to stick with that
00:50:43beautiful yeah we continue to push the boundaries like we're color drenching and i feel like the
00:50:50color we've chosen this week is not forgiving at all like this is sort of my like that's my inspo
00:50:58it is exactly that a guest suite we try to make it a little bit self-contained maybe a guest sanctuary
00:51:03this is this is clever you've got a little a little self-container yeah i feel it's about
00:51:09the lounge room space a rest area yeah have you got one of those like a chair or a table i have two
00:51:14oh yeah perfect yeah yeah yeah everyone's commented on the wallpaper so that's leisha's wallpaper so
00:51:20that's one that we designed in the challenge everything that's in that room i absolutely love
00:51:24here it is loud and proud this is us put it out there
00:51:40walking into your room the first thing the judges noted was the very bold color
00:51:44oh wow now that is a rich color whoa look at that wallpaper look at the ceiling
00:51:57what did you call this darren wow color drenching this is drenched in color that's for damn sure
00:52:03darren was smiling he said the color drenching i think is heaven yeah um that sort of deep aubergine
00:52:10grapey color is is really appropriate for this environment shana said that wallpaper is amazing
00:52:17it's professional level design
00:52:25so alicia designed that wallpaper and that is perfection in that beautiful tribal rustic
00:52:32and timeless but so unique and different i am blown away
00:52:38it is something that i would buy as a designer and shona also thinks that the wallpaper should be
00:52:45marketed by grafico what that's amazing and we didn't win we didn't win no
00:52:59marty agreed with shona he thinks there's a lot happening in here and it works
00:53:03there's a lot of emotion in this room from carpet the cabinetry beautiful bedside lights
00:53:10there's a lot happening in here but it works okay yes ma'am darren was loving the lighting
00:53:15those wall sconces are unreal yeah this sconce is so cool i've seen these online for ages i just
00:53:23have always wanted to use them it's a really beautiful inclusion especially against the wallpaper
00:53:29and all the sort of pattern drama and interest that slightly tribal feeling to it but also it feels
00:53:35country marty did notice there was no kitchenette but great amenity in the corner
00:53:41it has this little bar it has the coffee and tea it has the table in it but then it has the drawers
00:53:47under it and i don't love that it needs this yeah on top of that and it's perfect yeah i think i
00:53:54just think it's a strange inclusion for a bedroom and also for something that you're looking at from
00:53:59your bed but with doors on it it's perfect nobody wants to look at the end of those drawers from the
00:54:04bed especially when they are full of clothing put the walnut timber here and then it actually feels
00:54:11like you're in this beautiful boutique hotel but i love the color i they're so brave this color is such
00:54:18a brave color and it works for them and they've done the ceiling like this in the room down the other
00:54:23end so it's so consistent it feels expensive it'll shoot incredibly well but this week i feel that
00:54:31these secondary suites are almost better than the main suites they've really stepped up this week
00:54:36this is a really hard one to beat because of just this size it feels big the fact that this is finished
00:54:44feels really good to me i'm just wondering whether the ensuite is going to be finished into the bathroom
00:54:53oh wow yummy double vanity look at those tiles yum yum yum that's hot yep love this
00:55:11they all love the tiles and the vanity like it's a you know sort of a graphic sort of look to it
00:55:21that walnut is stunning i also love the fact they've used paint so much yeah low on budget hard impact
00:55:27yep shona was thinking you could have used your wallpaper in this room too she really liked that
00:55:33ball paper didn't she yeah that's a good thing minimal styling but it's all spot on
00:55:38they have really stepped up haven't they i finally feel sunny and alicia have got their groove
00:55:45they've blended that second sitting room and their main suite and created what we're seeing today

00:58:47jaren walked in and ran his hand down the lovely grass cloth wallpaper that's divine love that
00:58:58and then shana clocked the hand-painted wall oh how cool
00:59:04that's actually painted this is hand painted by melissa from cabinet that's cool how lucky is that
00:59:14and such a great original piece to help you market your home and looking around she thought the
00:59:19room is very elegant this isn't the boys this is really good she loved the chairs the bed in fact all the furniture
00:59:29love the fact that they've got this extra room marty says your room is very good as a bedroom
00:59:37it's just lacking that amenity that we've seen some of these other rooms today i don't know that
00:59:43there was cupboards when we walked in what's in there these are all for clothes all hanging it's lacking that
00:59:52that sweet element it's a great bedroom but it certainly isn't a sweet see if i had this amount
01:00:00of square meterage i would be fitting in a bar or a kitchenette so fundamentally there's two other
01:00:06houses that that punch harder personally if i was designing this house i don't know if i would have
01:00:15put a kitchenette in either i think it definitely is a great value add but day to day this does
01:00:21everything that i would want it to do i think this is a very big bank for your buck saleable

01:01:36from a design perspective and then a functionality perspective the layout of this bathroom is perfect

01:01:55me feel so great is that every space we've seen today screams a version of dalesford i feel this is the
01:02:03first week where all five of them said this is our interpretation of dalesford not our interpretation of
01:02:10what we want five very big personalities and they're really coming through in week eight
