00:00okay so really quickly I did pull from my auntie notes just a thought I was told initially you

00:22know my younger years that college would make my life better but then I got to school and realized

00:27they're teaching me how to work a job to exchange my time for money not really teaching me financial

00:34freedom and wealth and so I kind of feel that same way when people push me into being a mother like

00:39we should be such a good mom every time I listen to well-intentioned advice I always end up in a

00:45very unhappy place and so I stopped listening to those folks and I just kind of feel like it'd be

00:51the same way I just don't think being a mom would make me happy like I I just don't and I mean a lot

01:00of things will have to happen I mean I'm not saying never say never and maybe in the next lifetime I

01:06don't know like I don't know what the plans are and I don't but for now and for the near foreseeable

01:13future and every lifetime I live I plan on being child-free becoming a mom is such a life-changing

01:21major event in a woman's life that I prefer to be a part of her village as an auntie like I'm

01:26sending strong auntie vibes but the one thing I do have to um put an asterisk you know as auntie as

01:35someone who don't have kids and someone who's a giver giver has to a giver has to set limits because

01:43takers rarely do we have to be careful that people don't take advantage because people think

01:49oh you don't have kids so you have free time to babysit all the time be helpful but don't drain

01:56yourself to help other people um there was a couple times where people took advantage and people took

02:05me for granted and people take me for granted and so sometimes when you don't have kids they don't see

02:11you as busy they're they don't see you as kid busy so you're not busy us single people and people

02:19without kids have lives too and we that should be taken into consideration so that's the one thing I

02:25will always um point out I personally want to help my cousins who are moms and my friends who are moms

02:34but don't feel obligated to um use your time like that if you don't want to you're not obligated to be

02:41a babysitter or be everybody's doormat because you choose to stay single or you choose to not have

02:47kids so if you're watching this and you're child free or single and you don't want to be a babysitter

02:53that is totally your choice and you don't want to do certain things that is your choice so don't let

02:59people guilt you because they will try and I'm gonna be honest there's times where I was a give

03:13I actually had and I'm gonna tell this story a little bit down the road I actually had a

03:19opportunity to be a stepmom and didn't like it and I after that experience I saw how hard being a mother

03:29actually was from a distance and I said nah I don't think this is for me and so I had so many

03:37experiences in my 20s where I'm like certain things aren't for me and so yeah I just want to
