00:00Always love your thoughts here on a big home dog.
00:02It's Maryland getting six and a half against the Huskies.
00:06Total 53 and a half.
00:07Let's begin there.
00:09Terrapins certainly have shown some promise this season.
00:12Can they cover this number?
00:14Can they win this game outright?
00:15Obviously, the coast-to-coast traveling is involved in this conversation here as well.
00:20Break it down, Paul.
00:21Yeah, you know, Maryland, Craig, off to a 4-0 start
00:25behind their true freshman quarterback, Malik Washington,
00:28who's really been spot-on thus far this season.
00:31But other than a 27-10 victory at Wisconsin as a 10-and-a-half-point underdog,
00:38there's really not a whole lot of meat on the bone for Maryland, you might say.
00:42There are other three victims to this point, Florida Atlantic, Northern Illinois,
00:47and Towson of the FCS level.
00:49But that's going to change over the next two Saturdays.
00:52Of course, they're playing Washington this Saturday,
00:54and then Nebraska comes calling to College Park the following Saturday.
00:59So we'll find out a lot about Maryland.
01:01But first things first, I think this situation, and you mentioned a component of it,
01:05I think this situation strongly favors Maryland this weekend against the Huskies.
01:11Again, while Maryland is off a bye, Washington,
01:14they hosted top-ranked Ohio State last weekend, much-anticipated showdown.
01:19The Buckeyes ended the Huskies' 22-game home-winning streak,
01:24kind of coasted there in the second half to a 24-6 victory over Washington.
01:29The week before that, although not a competitive game,
01:33Washington traveled to Pullman, Washington,
01:35to play their rival Washington State in the Apple Cup,
01:38easily disposed of the Cougars by a 59-24 margin.
01:42But an emotional game, a game with a lot of energy nonetheless.
01:45So here you have Washington off back-to-back, emotion-packed contest.
01:51They've got to travel across the country, got to go across three time zones,
01:55and they've got to play an undefeated and rested Maryland team
01:59that's had the opportunity to maybe heal some of its early season bumps and bruises,
02:04maybe do a reset mentally.
02:06So I think everything kind of points to Maryland here.
02:08We don't know exactly who they are because they hadn't got in the ring
02:12with the best of the best yet, but the situation just so strongly favors
02:16the Terrapins here that I like Maryland plus 6.5
02:19over cross-country traveler Washington in Big Ten play.
