00:00God bless the United States Navy.
00:24Well, that was good timing, wasn't it?
00:26We had to get that right.
00:28We had to get that right.
00:30But they always get it right.
00:31I was just given a display with a wonderful First Lady,
00:35the likes of which I think few people have ever seen before.
00:38We were a few minutes away,
00:41and the display of strength was absolutely incredible.
00:45We appreciate it.
00:45Thank you, Navy.
00:46Thank you very much.
00:50And I want to thank our magnificent First Lady for that introduction.
00:55People love our First Lady.
00:57And let me say to all of the incredible sailors on this pier, it's great to be with the fleet, the fleet.
01:09And let's also give a very special thanks to the shipmates who put on that spectacular display of Navy dominance.
01:19And that's what it was.
01:20It was dominance.
01:21And Bravo Zulu, you know, that is Bravo Zulu, you know, a lot of people don't.
01:28And it's a true honor to be here with the thousands of our nation's finest sailors at the largest naval facility in the entire world.
01:38It's the largest, and I would say, more importantly, it's the best, okay?
01:42It's both the Norfolk Naval Base.
01:45Thank you very much.
01:46The largest and it's the best.
01:49We're gathered on this storied waterfront to celebrate 250 years of strength, tenacity, and unwavering courage by the greatest fighting force even.
01:59And that's true.
02:00No matter where you go, no matter where you go, no matter what you even think about, there's nothing like the fighting force that we have.
02:08Roam the seas, it's called, the United States Navy, and there's nothing in the world like it.
02:14Nothing.
02:14Not even close.
02:15You read stories.
02:17They don't have it.
02:17Let me tell you, we check it closely.
02:20We check it closely.
02:21Docs beside us today are a combined 150,000 tons of pure American naval supremacy and two colossal reasons why no one should ever want to start a fight with the USA.
02:35They won't fight.
02:36We're putting out a lot of fights, so do you see that?
02:38We're going to be close to number eight.
02:40Number eight.
02:42We don't want to send you into battle unless it's necessary, right?
02:46We're putting out a lot of fires.
02:51Maybe some of you will be angry.
02:53You'll say, what's he doing?
02:55We want to fight.
02:55You know what?
02:56If we can solve them the way I'm solving them, we solve seven.
03:00We have another one that's taken 3,000 years, and we're pretty close, but I don't want to talk about it until it's done.
03:06But let's give a big round of applause to the men and women of the majestic USS Kearsarge.
03:19And let's hear it for the sailors of the USS Harry S. Truman.
03:36Those who call this carrier home live by a motto that captures the spirit of America's Navy.
03:43It's very simple.
03:45The words, give them hell, and we do give them hell.
03:48For two and a half centuries, that is what every generation of American sailors have done.
03:56You've conquered raging oceans and brave, ferocious storms to vanquish America's enemies on the high seas and distant shores.
04:04You've beaten mighty warships into twisted wrecks of steel.
04:09You've splintered vast armadas and sent the mangled pride of empire sinking into oblivion.
04:16You've surged the waters thick in danger, blood, brine, and through it all, the United States Navy has kept the stars and stripes soaring high and proud above those big magnificent waves.
04:30And you love doing it, too.
04:31There's not a thing in the world that you'd rather do, is there?
04:34Is there?
04:35No.
04:39I like your life better than mine, I have to be honest with you.
04:42Sailing on those beautiful waters all the time, you're so lucky.
04:46Because the American sailor never quits, never fails, and never, ever lets us down.
04:53They've never let us down.
04:59And we're honored to be joined today by service members representing every part of this great naval tradition.
05:05Our incredible surface warriors are the reason America's enemies tremble at the sight of a Navy ship, haze gray or underway.
05:17The instant U.S. carrier, cruiser, or destroyer breaks across the horizon.
05:23Every tyrant and adversary on the planet knows their choice is very simple.
05:28It's leave America in peace or be blown up in fire and fury never seen before.
05:35All over the world, people know of the skill, nerve, swagger, and sheer attitude of the boldest and most daring pilots on the sea.
05:47The U.S. naval aviators, and I just got to witness it with Melania.
05:52They land screaming jets on pitching decks in the dark of night with no room for error.
05:58There's no room for error.
05:59The greatest pilots in the world.
06:00And while Navy pilots rain down pain from above, the greatest adversaries fear the daring deeds of our silent service below.
06:09They prowl and strike from crushing depths, unseen, undetected, and unstoppable.
06:27They are our brave submariners.
06:30Where are the submariners?
06:31The most lethal weapon in the world, I will tell you, nobody knows where it is and what it carries is nothing that carries weaponry like that.
06:45And we're 25 years ahead of any other country when it comes to submarines.
06:49Nobody's even close.
06:51Nobody can match us.
06:52No roll call of Navy warriors would be complete without recognizing some of the fiercest and most elite commandos in the history of war.
07:02They are the toughest, and there's nobody tougher.
07:06There's just nobody.
07:06That's what they tell me.
07:07There's nobody tougher.
07:09They're called the Navy SEALs.
07:10What do you think about the Navy SEALs?
07:12Where are the Navy SEALs?
07:15We're not going to mess with the Navy SEALs.
07:17They are great.
07:18Thank you very much.
07:19Incredible people.
07:20And, of course, our enemies have learned to dread that special cast of warriors who have charged forward almost everywhere America has seized a stronghold or stormed a beachhead.
07:32They call themselves the Leathernecks, the Jarheads, the Devil Dogs.
07:37But we revere them as the United States Marines.
07:47Incredible people.
07:49Incredible people.
07:50With us today are some of those who have led these exceptional men and women.
07:56They've led them like nobody else.
07:59And I'll tell you, a person I'm very, very proud of.
08:02He has stepped up and he's hitting home run after home run.
08:06They love him.
08:07I want to introduce again a man who's just exceptional.
08:11I'm so happy with this choice.
08:12I'm so happy with this choice.
08:13Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.
08:21Thank you, Pete.
08:22Doing a job.
08:25I said, Pete, what do you think?
08:27You know, we used to call it Secretary of War, the Department of War, the War Department.
08:32Now we call it defense.
08:35And I don't know.
08:37Would you ever want to?
08:38You know, we won World War I.
08:40We won World War II.
08:42We won everything in between.
08:44We won everything before.
08:46And all of a sudden they decided to change the name.
08:49They weren't woke then, too.
08:51You know, woke is a long-term word.
08:54I said, what do you think about changing it to the Department of War?
08:58He said, I love it, sir.
09:00And that was about the end of it, right?
09:02That was the end of it.
09:04Thank you, Pete.
09:05Great job.
09:06He's a great leader.
09:07Also, Secretary of the Navy, a very, very successful man.
09:11He gave it all up to do this.
09:13And we're designing more ships.
09:15We have more ships being built shortly.
09:17We're going to have more great ships being built than we've ever had being built in the
09:22history of the Navy.
09:23John Phelan.
09:25John, thank you.
09:26Great job, John.
09:30He made a lot of money in the private sector.
09:32And I said, you want to do this, John?
09:34We need a lot of ships, and we need them fast.
09:36And he said, I want to do it.
09:37He gave up a lot, gave up everything to do this.
09:40But he's loving it, and he's doing a fantastic job.
09:43Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Darrell Caudill.
09:48Admiral, thank you.
09:50Great job.
09:53Rear Admiral Gavin Duff.
10:01And along with so many different people here, they could introduce them all.
10:06Day long.
10:07I don't want to do that because we've got to get to business, talking a little bit about
10:11war and peace.
10:12But along with your great officers here at Norfolk Naval Base, Vice Admirals John Gumbleton.
10:18John.
10:20Thank you, John.
10:21Great.
10:22Young guy.
10:24You're a young guy.
10:25Great.
10:26Doug Perry and Rob Goucher.
10:29And a very special thanks to a man who just got a 93% approval.
10:39He runs the Veterans Everything, I call it.
10:43He's Veterans Everything.
10:44The VA Secretary, Doug Collins.
10:47He's doing great.
10:48Thank you, Doug.
10:49Doing a great job.
10:52Ambassador Monica Crowley.
10:55Monica, thank you very much.
10:57A man that everybody loves.
11:00He was my doctor in the White House and I got to know him very well.
11:04He was also the doctor for Barack Hussein Obama.
11:08Have you heard of him?
11:11And he was the doctor for a man named Bush.
11:15And at a press conference, they asked him, who's in the best shape?
11:20Who's the healthiest?
11:21Who's the strongest?
11:22Who's the best physical specimen of the three?
11:25He said, that's easy.
11:26President Donald Trump.
11:28And I said, I love this guy.
11:31I said, I love him.
11:36Ronnie Jackson.
11:36He's now a congressman, as you know.
11:38So he was an admiral.
11:40He was a chief doctor.
11:41He was the old boss of doctors.
11:43And now he's a very, very successful congressman from Texas.
11:48Thank you, Ronnie, very much.
11:49And I appreciate those words.
11:51I'll never forget them.
11:53Jen Kiggins.
11:55Jen, thank you.
11:56John McGuire.
11:57Rob Whitman.
11:59Dan Crenshaw.
12:01Derek Van Orden.
12:02These are unbelievable talented people that are with me and they fight.
12:06Thank you very much, fellas.
12:09Thank you very much, Doug.
12:11He's a great congress.
12:12I say congress warriors.
12:14That's what you have to be today in Congress if you're going to make it.
12:18I also want to recognize all of the newly pinned chief petty officers.
12:22You got a lot of them here today.
12:23I had to approve it.
12:26Who recently earned their anchors and now bear their venerable title.
12:31Navy chief.
12:32Navy chief.
12:33Thank you, Navy chiefs.
12:34Let's also express the gratitude of our entire nation to every Navy veteran who has come out
12:41to honor this big anniversary.
12:43We see so many veterans.
12:45I saw it backstage.
12:46I was shaking hands with veterans all over the place.
12:50And they are great.
12:51And they're respected.
12:52And they're loved.
12:53Thank you very much.
12:54Stand up if you'd like.
12:55Thank you very much.
12:56They're really loved.
13:03I saw it backstage.
13:06I saw so many veterans.
13:08My hand will never be the same.
13:11Thank you very much.
13:12A great honor.
13:13And a very special thanks to the countless Navy families who support our sailors with such
13:19love and devotion.
13:20None of what are and think of this without them, you wouldn't be celebrating today.
13:26Many of you would not be doing very well.
13:28Male or female, you wouldn't be doing very well.
13:30So we want to thank our family members, right?
13:32All of them.
13:33Parents, husbands, wives.
13:37Thank you very much.
13:41From the American Revolution until today, the story of the U.S. Navy is a tale of loyalty,
13:46sacrifice, and commitment stretching back 250 years.
13:51So we're celebrating 250.
13:53I almost thought I wouldn't get to do that because I was president in 2016.
14:00And then they rigged the election on me.
14:05And then we caught them, didn't we?
14:07We caught them.
14:07But, you know, we had to run it again.
14:09I ran it again.
14:10And I got 250.
14:10And I got the World Cup.
14:12And I got the Olympics.
14:13Can you believe all of it?
14:16In my first term, I was the one that got the Olympics.
14:21I was the one that got the World Cup.
14:23And I said, you know, the sad part is maybe I'll go.
14:26Maybe I won't even be invited because it won't be during my term.
14:29I would say if we're a Democrat, I might not be invited.
14:32They don't love me exactly too much.
14:34And then when this happened, now all of a sudden they got all three.
14:38But you know what's the most important?
14:39250 years is the most important.
14:43Above World Cup, above Olympic.
14:45But we got them all coming.
14:47And in June 14th, next year, we're going to have a big UFC fight at the White House, right at the White House, on the grounds of the White House.
14:59When the Continental Congress formed a fleet of just two ships in October 1775, many scoffed at their chances against the most powerful empire on Earth.
15:14That was the most powerful ever, relatively speaking.
15:18And we had two ships.
15:20We had nothing other but we had great heart.
15:23They didn't know the audacity and the grit of the American sailor.
15:27They had no idea.
15:28The War for Independence gave us some of the greatest American heroes of all time, including the father of the U.S. Navy, Captain John Paul Jones.
15:38You know that.
15:39When a far stronger British ship demanded his surrender, Jones yelled back that timeless battle cry right now.
15:46I have not yet begun to fight.
15:48Don't ask me for that.
15:50Think of that.
15:51I could just see it.
15:52He's a wise guy.
15:54He's asking.
15:54I haven't even begun to fight.
15:56And he knocked the hell out of him.
15:58In the War of 1812, Captain James Lawrence shouted his final words to his crew as blood streamed down from his mortal wounds.
16:07Fight her till she sinks, he yelled.
16:09Don't give up the ship.
16:11Don't give up the ship.
16:12These are all incredible, very, very famous statements now with years and time.
16:18Very famous.
16:19Don't give up the ship.
16:20I say it all the time.
16:21You're a little behind.
16:23I say, don't give up the ship.
16:24But we win.
16:25We all know how to win.
16:27Today, that eternal creed is written into the hearts of every sailor in the fleet.
16:31America's Navy never, ever gives up the ship, right?
16:35We never give it up.
16:36Another titan of the early Navy was the great Commodore Arthur Sinclair.
16:42He defeated the French in the Caribbean battle.
16:45And then he went to work on the Barbary pirates off the coast of Tripoli and raided British forces when they were so powerful in 1812, the War of 1812.
16:56He raided them.
16:57He was knocking them out one by one.
16:59Everyone said, where does this guy come from?
17:01And we're all descendants when you think of it.
17:05Commodore Sinclair went on to become the commanding officer here at the Naval Station Norfolk, right here, where he founded a nautical school for officers that eventually became the one and only U.S. Naval Academy.
17:20And I'm going to be at your Army-Navy game this year.
17:30Who am I going to root for, huh?
17:35You may be surprised.
17:38It's going to be great.
17:39We're going to be here.
17:40Generations of the Commodore's descendants have forged their own towering legacies of service in the Navy.
17:47And we're joined today by his fifth great-grandson, Commander Link Mustin.
17:53Where is Mustin?
17:54Commander Mustin, where are you?
17:56He's here.
17:57Wow, look at this handsome guy.
17:59That's good genetics.
18:01He's got good genes.
18:03Thank you very much.
18:05Commander, thank you for continuing a family tradition that has endured for two and a half centuries.
18:12Can you believe that, huh?
18:13I wonder if they were as good-looking as you.
18:15I doubt it.
18:16You just got better with age, right?
18:19Is that young man your boy?
18:21Well, he beats you.
18:22They beat you.
18:25That's what we want to see.
18:26Over the generations, our Navy sailors raised old lorry above the streets of Veracruz,
18:31sent the Spanish fleet to its watery grave in Manila Bay,
18:35and buried the vicious German wolf packs at the bottom of the sea.
18:40Those were vicious, vicious wolf packs.
18:43They were brutal.
18:44They were hitting us hard, and then we came up with the answer, didn't we?
18:47We came up with the way to knock them out, and we were knocking them out so fast they didn't know what to do.
18:52It was really the end once we discovered the secret through some brilliant minds.
18:57A lot of them are descendants of the people here right now.
19:01In every era of conflict, the Navy has never failed to hunt, kill, and to win.
19:06Never failed, never failed.
19:09In World War II, Admiral Bull Halsey's motto, hit hard, hit fast, hit often, and that is exactly what the sailors do.
19:17One of those warriors was submarine commander Eugene Flukie, who sent more Japanese tonnage to the ocean floor than any other man in history.
19:27I don't like to talk about it too much now.
19:29You know, they've been a nice ally, but anybody from Japan here right now?
19:33We'll get off this subject immediately.
19:37But think of it.
19:39Sent more tonnage to the bottom of the sea, one after one.
19:43Broadly famed USS Barb, he destroyed a Japanese tanker and a carrier with a single salvo to his men's chagrin.
19:52They were very concerned about it.
19:54They didn't think we could do that, and he just knocked them out one after another.
19:59And again, torpedoes were flying, but his greatest feat came when he spotted 30 enemy ships at port off the coast of China.
20:07You know that, a very famous story.
20:09Commander Flukie ordered his men to their battle station, slipped into the harbor, and sank six vessels at one time before taking off into the beautiful, wild, blue ocean.
20:21He received four Navy crosses, the Legion of Merit, and the Congressional Medal of Honor.
20:28That was a brave guy in recognition of the incredible achievements of the USS Barb under his command.
20:35This December, we will lay the keel of a brand new Virginia-class submarine bearing that same legendary name, and his grandson, Tom, will be there to pick it up.
20:47Tom is with us today, and I want to thank you for keeping that great legacy around.
20:52Where is Tom?
20:54Oh, look, stand up, Tom.
20:57Great.
20:58Good, Tom.
21:01That's good.
21:02That's good genes, too, Tom, isn't it?
21:04That's good stuff.
21:06Thank you very much, both, for being here.
21:08From Midway to the Coral Sea to Leyte Gulf, American sailors fought the most epic naval battles in history, and at Normandy, the Navy led the greatest armada ever formed to deliver the single largest invasion force the world has ever seen.
21:25One of the sailors who did it was Felix Maurizio, who enlisted at age 18 and trained right here in Norfolk, trained right here.
21:35On D-Day, June 6th, 1944, Felix manned an amphibious landing craft that did six harrowing runs to Omaha Beach.
21:46You all know about it.
21:47These are all famous fights.
21:49Felix, he delivered hundreds of American troops into the battle, including his brother, Sal.
21:54Felix lost so many of his friends that day, but he kept fighting.
21:58He kept going out there, getting more soldiers, getting more of everything.
22:03He just kept coming.
22:04They couldn't stop him and went on to serve in the Pacific under the great Admiral Nimitz.
22:10In February 1945, he spent his 21st birthday landing Marines on the blood-soaked sands of Iwo Jima, one of the bloodiest, toughest battles ever.
22:22Historic battle.
22:24Six months later, he was aboard the USS Talladega in Tokyo Bay.
22:29When Japan surrendered, they said, I don't think we want Felix hitting us anymore.
22:33And he retired as a chief petty officer in 1966.
22:38This year, Felix celebrated his 100th birthday.
22:43And he is here this afternoon as a living testament to the glory of the United States Navy.
22:48Wow.
22:49Wow.
23:03That's great.
23:14He looks good.
23:16Felix, you look better than I do.
23:17I'm not happy about this, Felix.
23:21No, they don't want to mess around with him.
23:23And Felix, we salute you.
23:25Thank you very much.
23:25Incredible.
23:26100 years.
23:27In Korea, American sailors and Marines carried out the daring landing in Incheon and flew more than a quarter of a million combat sorties against the enemy.
23:39It was an amazing effort.
23:41In Vietnam, the Navy unleashed Operation Rolling Thunder and deployed a brand new unit, the Navy SEALs, to tear up Mekong River Delta.
23:52Problem with Vietnam, we, you know, we stopped fighting to win.
23:56We would have won easy.
23:57We would have won Afghanistan easy.
23:59We would have won every war easy.
24:01But we got politically correct.
24:02Let's take it easy.
24:05We're not politically correct anymore, just so you understand.
24:08We win.
24:09Now we win.
24:13We don't want to be politically correct anymore.
24:16And history will never forget that it was the SEALs who stormed the compound at Osama bin Laden and put a bullet in his head.
24:25Remember that.
24:26And please remember, I wrote about Osama bin Laden exactly one year ago, one year before he blew up the World Trade Center.
24:35And I said, you got to watch Osama bin Laden.
24:38And the fake news would never let me get away with that statement unless it was true.
24:42But I said one year before to Pete Hegseth, I said one year before Wispy, in the book I wrote, whatever the hell the title, I can't tell you.
24:52But I can tell you there's a page in there devoted to the fact that I saw somebody named Osama bin Laden and I didn't like it.
24:59And you got to take care of him.
25:01They didn't do it.
25:02A year later, he blew up the World Trade Center.
25:04So we've got to take a little credit because nobody else is going to give it to me.
25:08You know, the old story.
25:09They don't give you credit.
25:10Just take it yourself.
25:12And it was the U.S. Navy that dumped his wretched corpse off the decks of the Carl Vinson to sink into the dark abyss.
25:20The Navy's central role in the defense of our liberty continues to this day.
25:25Just a few months ago, the Ohio-class guided missile submarine played an indispensable part in one of the most spectacular military feats the world has ever seen.
25:36The obliteration of Iran's nuclear sites in Operation Midnight Hammer.
25:41How did that work out?
25:42Pretty good, right?
25:43And we shot 30 tomahawks, you know, that week on top of after the B-2.
25:54How about that?
25:55The B-2s, what they did, those beautiful flying wings, what they did, they hit every single target they hit.
26:03And just in case we shot 30 tomahawks out of a submarine, every one of them hit, too.
26:08So I would say Iran was not particularly thrilled.
26:11They were going to have a nuclear weapon within a month.
26:15And now they can start the operation all over again.
26:17But I hope they don't, because we'll have to take care of that, too, if they do.
26:20I let them know that you want to do that.
26:21It's fine.
26:22But we're going to take care of that.
26:24And we're not going to wait so long.
26:25It should have been done long before I came along.
26:29You know that I had the pilots of the B-2s in my office, the famous Oval Office.
26:34I had them in the B-2s.
26:36They came in to the White House, and we talked about it.
26:40And they said, you know, sir, for 22 years, our predecessors and us trained for that hit.
26:47For 22 years, they were training to take out the nuclear potential of Iran.
26:52You said, but it was only when you came along that we did it.
26:55And they were so happy that they did it.
26:58But they've been training for that hit for 22 years, but no president wanted to do it.
27:02They would have had a nuclear weapon within a month, probably within a month or shortly thereafter.
27:07And speaking to them would have been much more difficult.
27:11In recent weeks, the Navy has supported our mission to blow the cartel terrorists the hell out of the water.
27:17You see that?
27:18And, you know, there are no boats in the water anymore.
27:27You can't find any.
27:28We're having a hard time finding them.
27:30But, you know, it's a pretty tough thing we've been doing, but you have to think of it this way.
27:36Every one of those boats is responsible for the death of 25,000 American people and the destruction of families.
27:45So, when you think of it that way, what we're doing is actually an act of kindness.
27:51But we did another one last night.
27:53Now we just can't find any.
27:55You know, it's the old story.
27:56We're so good at it that there are no boats.
27:59In fact, even fishing boats, nobody wants to go into the water anymore.
28:02Sorry to tell you that.
28:04But we're stopping drugs coming into America, if that's okay.
28:08We're stopping drugs at a level that nobody's ever seen before.
28:11Last year, we lost, I believe, 300,000 people.
28:17And that's not talking about the destruction to families.
28:20Every one of us knows families that have been destroyed because the son, daughter, even mothers and fathers are destroyed by the fentanyl pouring in and drugs pouring in.
28:30Well, they're not coming in by sea anymore.
28:32So, now we'll have to start looking about the land because they'll be forced to go by land.
28:37And let me tell you right now, that's not going to work out well for them either.
28:40And it was the Truman Carrier Strike Group that unleashed American fury on the Houthi terrorists in the Red Sea.
28:47And, as you know, they settled.
28:56But they settled because they made the St. Mundoers.
28:59We've never been hit like that ever before.
29:02And earlier this year, conducted the single largest airstrike from an American carrier in history.
29:08That was the largest ever.
29:09I want to express my personal thanks to every single sailor who contributed to these phenomenal victories.
29:17We only know victory.
29:18We're only going to know victory.
29:20We don't want to know the other word.
29:23We want to know victory.
29:24We're going to have great victories in the years to come.
29:27Well, at least for almost three and a half years, we're going to have great victories.
29:31I want to thank a group of women from North Carolina.
29:34Look at these great.
29:35Will you stand up, please?
29:36These beautiful women have followed me.
29:41This is number 151.
29:45You could call a rally.
29:46This is sort of a rally.
29:47Let's face it.
29:48This is a rally.
29:49This is a speech of love.
29:51We're all we all love our country.
29:53But that group is from North Carolina.
29:56They're up to about 151 visits.
30:00They have a whole group of them.
30:02I never see their husbands.
30:03I don't know what's going on with their husbands.
30:05I assume.
30:06Do they still love you, the husbands?
30:08Yes.
30:08Good.
30:09But I want to thank you.
30:10151.
30:11They've been following me since 2016.
30:14And you look even better now than you did then.
30:16But I want to thank you very much.
30:18It's a really group.
30:19They love our country.
30:20They like Trump.
30:21But you know what they really do?
30:22They love our country.
30:23And we have the right policy, right?
30:25We have policy.
30:26We don't want crime.
30:27We don't want men playing in women's sports.
30:31We don't want transgender for everybody.
30:34We don't want to have open borders where millions of people come into our country from
30:38jails, from prisons, from mental institutions and insane asylums, drug dealers, murderers.
30:4511,788 murderers were allowed to come into our country.
30:51A lot of them are gone.
30:53And by the way, Washington, D.C. is a safe place right now.
30:57It went from one of the most dangerous cities in our country.
31:00Can you believe that?
31:01To probably the safest, among the safest in our country.
31:05Nobody's being hit anymore.
31:09It's very safe.
31:10And I want to thank you.
31:11A lot of the people here have helped.
31:12A lot of the people in the audience are people that have straightened them out.
31:17It took 12 days.
31:18Think of that.
31:19Now we're in Memphis.
31:20We're doing the same thing in Memphis.
31:21And we're going to Chicago.
31:23You know, we have a governor that thinks it's wonderful when 50 people in a short period
31:27of time were murdered in Chicago.
31:29Over 200 people were hit.
31:32And so we send in the National Guard.
31:36We say, you know what?
31:37We send in what's ever necessary.
31:39People don't care.
31:39They want to, they don't want crime in their cities.
31:43And we're doing it and we're doing it well.
31:45We're doing it like nobody's ever done it before.
31:47So I just want to tell you, you're very close to D.C.
31:50The restaurants are thriving.
31:52The restaurants were dying.
31:54They were closing one after another.
31:56Now they're thriving.
31:57They're opening up beautiful new restaurants.
32:00Washington, D.C. is safe.
32:01And I even went there and had dinner the other night.
32:03And I stood right smack in the middle of the street.
32:07Secret Service was thrilled.
32:09And I gave a news conference.
32:11It's a safe place now.
32:12Washington, D.C.
32:13It's always going to be our nation's capital is always going to be safe.
32:17We're never going to let that happen again.
32:19What happened there?
32:20One of the most beautiful places.
32:22We're doing a big beautification program.
32:24It'll take me very little, very short.
32:27But we're doing a beautification program to go along with the security and safety.
32:31We're getting rid of the graffiti, the potholes, the broken medians between roads.
32:36We're doing a real job and you'd be proud of it.
32:39I think everybody here is proud of it, frankly.
32:41That's our nation's capital.
32:42And that has to be clean, beautiful and safe.
32:45The U.S. Navy always stands for America as your commander in chief.
32:50I will always stand for you.
32:51I promise you that.
32:52You know that that's why you voted for me in numbers that nobody's ever seen before.
32:57And I want you to know that despite the current Democrat-induced shutdown, we will get our
33:04service members every last penny.
33:06Don't worry about it.
33:08Don't worry about it.
33:10You'll worry about it.
33:14Do not worry about it.
33:16It's all coming.
33:17It's coming.
33:17And even more because I'm supporting the across-the-board pay raises for every sailor and service member
33:23of the United States Armed Forces.
33:27But we have to take care of this little gnat that's on our shoulder called the Democrats.
33:32They want to give all of our money to illegal aliens that pour into the country.
33:36And, you know, I have a bigger heart than they do.
33:38But the problem is when you do that, they come in by the millions.
33:41Everybody wants that, so you can't do it.
33:44But I've also pledged the largest ever investment in our military's history.
33:48We're spending over $1 trillion.
33:51We've never had anything like that before.
33:54For $1 trillion on our military, and that includes, along with your Secretary of the
34:00Navy and Pete Hexeth, we're going to be building lots of ships and doing a lot of things that
34:05you haven't seen happen for 35 years.
34:09We'll soon revitalize our once great shipyards with hundreds of billions of dollars in new
34:14investments and people coming from all around the world.
34:17And they're going to build ships in America.
34:19We want them built in America.
34:21And as I told our generals and admirals last Tuesday, we are getting wokeness the hell out
34:26of our military.
34:27It's gone.
34:28It's really gone.
34:31I don't know that it was ever really here.
34:33I think some of the top people had it.
34:34I knew a few of them.
34:35They were really, they were major losers.
34:37But they were losers.
34:41Unlike our great general, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who may be here, Dan
34:48Raisin Cain.
34:48You know Raisin Cain?
34:50When I heard his name, I said, that's the guy I'm looking for.
34:53But he's been an amazing warrior.
34:55And, you know, he was the one headed up the attack on Iran.
34:59And everything he's touched has turned out great.
35:02He knocked out ISIS.
35:03So I was told it would take four to five years to beat ISIS.
35:07When he came on board, he did it in four weeks.
35:10We knocked him out in four weeks.
35:11One hundred percent of the ISIS caliphate.
35:15Is Dan Cain here?
35:17He is.
35:18You know why?
35:19Because he's working.
35:21That's the one thing.
35:22We don't have to worry about him.
35:23But he is a fantastic man.
35:25That's the man I wanted right from the beginning.
35:27I said, if I ever do this again and if I could get lucky enough to win, because we have a
35:31base like nobody in history has had.
35:33I said, I'm going to pick Raisin Cain as the chairman.
35:37And that's what we did.
35:38And he's been incredible.
35:39We will not be politically correct when it comes to defending American freedom.
35:44That's why we have renamed the Department of Defense at Department of War, as I said.
35:49And we have changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.
35:54That was easy.
35:57That was an easy one.
36:00You know, for years I've looked at it and I added it up and I figured we have 92 percent
36:05of the frontage.
36:06I say, how come we call it the Gulf of Mexico?
36:09I mean, I wouldn't say that Mexico is thrilled with me, but what are you going to do?
36:12It's the Gulf of America.
36:13And I love it now.
36:15I was watching the other night a report and they said very routinely in the Gulf of America.
36:21This is, you know, they just went on to talk about it.
36:24They didn't do it with a smirk or a smile.
36:26They just say in the Gulf of America.
36:28No, it's called the Gulf of America now and nobody's playing games with it.
36:32We got sued by the Associated Press and they lost.
36:37In fact, the judge was so good.
36:38He said he's calling it the Gulf of America.
36:40He's got all the approvals.
36:42You have to do that, too, to the very liberal Associated Press.
36:46They got thrown out of court.
36:47In fact, they're almost not allowed to cover me anymore because of that.
36:51It's a big hit.
36:52So I'm very proud of that.
36:54Under our leadership, the spirit of the American forces is soaring like it has never soared before.
37:00I think right now we have more spirit than we've ever had before.
37:05After years of recruiting shortages, we couldn't get guys or gals to become sellers.
37:12One year ago, they didn't want to be a seller.
37:15Although I must say, once I said we're going to run a lot of people, it made it better.
37:19But let's go back two years.
37:20And it was even worse because there was no hope.
37:24We had this horrible, horrible president who had no clue what the hell was happening.
37:29The chances of him walking down those stairs successfully were not good.
37:37And I have to be careful because one day I'm going to probably fall.
37:42No, the North Carolina women said, that will never happen to you.
37:46I always say, walk down the steps nice and slow.
37:49You ever notice I do nice?
37:51I don't have to bop down the stairs.
37:53Walk nice and slowly.
37:54But we have a waiting list.
37:57Think of this.
37:57We have a waiting list for people wanting to get into the United States Navy, the Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marines, Space Force.
38:08Oh, we love Space Force.
38:09But think of it.
38:11We have a waiting list for every branch of government now.
38:15And that includes police, police and firemen.
38:18They didn't want to.
38:20Nobody wanted to be a policeman.
38:21Now they want to be a policeman.
38:22Now they want to be in the Navy.
38:23They want to be in the Air Force so badly.
38:27The Marines, the Army, they want to be in all of it.
38:30They love Space Force.
38:31I love Space Force because I created Space Force.
38:33That was my thing.
38:35Then it's going to turn out to be one of the most important.
38:38But one year ago, our country was dead.
38:43We had a dead country.
38:45People say, sir, you shouldn't say that.
38:47It's two strands of withdrawal.
38:48We had a dead country.
38:49And today we have the hottest country anywhere in the world by far.
38:53One year.
38:54Think of it.
38:54One year ago, we were dead.
38:59The king of Saudi Arabia said to me,
39:02President, one year ago, we thought we lost America.
39:06We thought it was a dead country.
39:08And now you have the hottest country anywhere in the world.
39:11He said that.
39:12I use this term.
39:14And I'm pleased to say that 2025 was the Navy's single best recruiting year ever.
39:22Not bad.
39:25So you went from those embarrassing headlines of a year ago.
39:29Think of it.
39:30Nobody wants to go into the Navy.
39:32How does that make you feel?
39:34Now you have a different problem.
39:35You know what the problem is?
39:37Everybody wants your job.
39:38I like that better, right?
39:41But nobody's going to take your job.
39:43You were with us when it was not as nice.
39:47It wasn't as nice.
39:48Those are the people I like the best, too.
39:51The people that were with me when it wasn't looking so good,
39:54like these ladies from North Carolina.
39:55They were with me when it wasn't looking that good.
39:59A lot of fake scandals were created.
40:02One of those eager new recruits is 18-year-old Aidan Rollins, a recruit like I'm so proud of.
40:12Aidan's father was a sailor.
40:14His grandfather was a sailor.
40:15And after four years of Navy ROTC, it is Aidan's turn to carry on that tradition.
40:22When he enlisted in April, his father Daniel, a Navy veteran, was so inspired that he decided to re-enlist, too.
40:31Wow.
40:31I'm delighted to say that father and son are here with us today representing the future of this great fleet.
40:38Please, Aidan and your father, please stand up.
40:41Wow.
40:42Wow.
40:51Wow.
40:51That's a good-looking family, I'll tell you.
40:54Thank you both.
40:55That's a great story.
40:56Beautiful.
40:56Your father looks pretty young, Aidan.
40:59I mean, he's a young-looking guy.
41:02Every sailor, aviator, submariner, and shipmate in the Navy inherits a tradition of excellence and daring power and glory unmatched in the long saga of mankind's voyage on the sea.
41:14From that first ship, the schooner, Hannah, to the awesome side of a modern carrier battle group underway, the U.S. Navy has always been the iron will of a proud and mighty nation pushing forward through the currents and over those big, beautiful waves.
41:31Through the spray of raging combat and the fog of naval war, America's sailors have proven time and again that our Navy does just the best job there is.
41:45Anything having to do with sailing the oceans is nobody to compete.
41:49We own the skies, we stalk the depths, and we rule the seas like nobody has ever ruled the seas.
41:57From Boston Harbor to Hampton Roads, from the Philippine Sea to the Red Sea, from the Guadalcanal to the vast great Atlantic Ocean, our sailors have seized triumph upon triumph.
42:12We don't know anything about defeat, we heaped honor upon honor and carved greatness and splendor into the pages of history.
42:22We only talk about the Navy and only use that word splendor.
42:27We also say victory because that's the other.
42:29We have splendor and we have victory on gun decks and flight decks, in torpedo rooms and cockpits.
42:36They have poured out their blood, sweat and tears and offered their very lives to defend this land between the seas.
42:43They have crossed icy canals, leapt from burning records, plunged into frigid water, soared into deadly skies and slashed across the mine infested bays to claim American victory and to defend the cause of liberty,
43:01to defend, quite frankly, the American flag.
43:06In every era and every part of this globe, our sailors have fought with courage in their hearts, patriotism in their souls and salt water in their veins.
43:17You have that salt water.
43:19Don't let the doctors change it.
43:21Keep it.
43:23Because there's nothing like it.
43:24There's no blood like it.
43:26And standing before all of you today, I know that whatever our nation is threatened and whenever they need help, whenever duty calls, American sailors will hoist our flag high and they will rally to Admiral Farragut's immortal battle cry.
43:46I damned the torpedoes full speed ahead, go, you son of a gun.
43:51With your help, we will fight, fight, fight.
43:54We will win, win, win.
43:56Because of you, our navy and our country will always be proud and righteous and mighty and free.
44:03Congratulations once again on 250 years of total dominance.
44:09Sail fast.
44:11Stay strong.
44:12God bless our sailors and God bless the United States of America.
44:16Thank you very much, everybody.
