00:00Chocolaty!
00:01My new Choco Donut cereal is a crunchy, chocolatey part of this dollar's breakfast!
00:05Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for beloved foods that have unfortunately been lost to time.
00:11You make people nervous.
00:13He's always right.
00:14All right!
00:15Oh!
00:17Mmm!
00:19Watermelon!
00:21Number 30.
00:22Onion Nuggets
00:22Change can be a hard pill to swallow, even when it comes to something as small as the shape of your food.
00:28During the 1970s, McDonald's tried to put a spin on the classic onion ring with their own creation, Onion Nuggets.
00:34The perfectly bite-sized morsels were an interesting deviation from their usual options, but they unfortunately were not enough to hold the public's interest.
00:41They were quickly overshadowed by the introduction of McNuggets to the menu, which immediately became a fan favorite.
00:47I'm blown away that this was a predecessor to the Chicken Nugget.
00:51Well, you gotta start nugget-fying something before you get to chicken.
00:55I'm willing to bet that these probably contain more chicken than an actual current chicken nugget.
00:59Before long, the onion variation had been phased out, and was eventually quietly discontinued.
01:05Although it may not have been the most lucrative, the concept sounds so delicious that we can't help but feel robbed of them.
01:12Onion rings, I'll still find a way to complain about those, because when you bite them, you bite, the whole onion strings out of the ring.
01:20Not so with these.
01:21Number 29.
01:22Taco Supreme Doritos
01:24Introducing the great taste of new Taco Supreme flavor Doritos tortilla chips.
01:28When it comes to brand partnerships, no one does it better.
01:32There are several Doritos-infused items on the Taco Bell menu available to buy today, but their collaborations go back much further.
01:40Their first joint product dates all the way back to the 1990s with Taco Supreme Doritos.
01:45The chips were made with a signature flavoring to get the exact same taste as the iconic Mexican chain, making it one of the most daring to be released at that time.
01:52It was unfortunately retired less than a decade later following PepsiCo's divestment from the brand.
01:58A similar taco flavor was introduced soon afterwards, but it simply wasn't the same.
02:02And to this day, people are petitioning to have it return.
02:06Why don't you kids do something different for a change?
02:10Or get out of the way!
02:11Okay, Mom!
02:16Number 28.
02:17Pop-Tarts Crunch
02:18Some food sounds so good that it's hard to believe they ever existed at all.
02:28While regular Pop-Tarts were already great on their own, they were elevated to an even higher level in 1994 when they were released in cereal form.
02:35They were inspired by a trend where consumers would break up the pastries and eat them with milk.
02:40And the final product did not disappoint.
02:42Available in strawberry or brown sugar cinnamon with filling in the center, the breakfast item was the definition of rich.
02:48It was an ingenious idea, but it only lasted for about a year before ultimately being pulled from their line.
02:54It goes to show that a trend's supposed popularity can burn as easily as it pops.
02:59To make sure I wasn't dreaming, I attempted to fly and landed on the dog.
03:02Great! It means there really is a Pop-Tarts cereal.
03:05Number 27.
03:07Whop-A-Rito
03:07That is a good idea.
03:08That is so cool. I like it.
03:10I wanted to modify it for you.
03:11No, it's actually because I love the way they claim bro to meat anywhere.
03:14So I'm good.
03:15With just one item, countless people's decision fatigue was relieved.
03:19If you think the combination of a Whopper and a Burrito sounds insane, you'd be right.
03:23But that doesn't make the execution any less delicious.
03:26In 2016, Burger King came out with one of their most bizarre creations yet.
03:31The Whop-A-Rito.
03:32Consisting of all the classic elements of the burger and plenty of queso
03:35wrapped in a perfectly cooked tortilla, it was the very definition of decadence.
03:40Are you giving up Taco Bell at midnight to get a Whop-A-Rito at Burger King?
03:44Based on my experience at Taco Bell, this is the preferable burrito for me.
03:49It ended up being a hit, leading to it being introduced nationwide
03:52and earning the respect of food critics and customers alike.
03:55Unfortunately, it was a limited time item, meaning despite its popularity,
03:59by the end of the year, it had completely vanished.
04:07Oh my god.
04:10Is it good?
04:11Mm-hmm.
04:12Number 26.
04:13Triple Decoroni Pizza.
04:15New Pizza Hut Triple Decoroni Pizza.
04:1790 pepperoni pieces, 6 cheeses, 2 crusts, 1 hellacious taste.
04:21Could there possibly be a thing as too much pizza?
04:24Pizza Hut certainly doesn't seem to think so, and we agree.
04:26In 1996, they came out with one of their most insane items to date,
04:31a multi-layered pizza with 6 different cheeses inside.
04:34The concoction is the peak of indulgence, and sounds almost too good to be true.
04:39This is a pizza.
04:40I mean, it's a pizza, yeah.
04:41I'll tell you what we did a good job of.
04:43We did a really great job of mimicking Pizza Hut Pizza.
04:45Though it appeared to be enjoyed by consumers,
04:47it still disappeared from their menu just a few years later.
04:50It wouldn't be the only time they've removed a fan favorite.
04:53The beloved Pozzone was only brought out of retirement for a short period before disappearing once more.
04:58To this day, some people are holding out hope that the Decoroni will make a comeback as well.
05:03New Triple Decker Pizza from Pizza Hut.
05:056 cheeses, 2 crusts, and 1 hellacious taste.
05:10Number 25.
05:11C-3PO's Cereal.
05:13I really wish that they were still making C-3PO's to see how aggressive the commercials would be.
05:20Given how popular the Star Wars franchise was throughout the 1980s,
05:24it only makes sense that they'd release as many branded products associated with it as possible.
05:29They came out with plenty of toys and trading cards, but they didn't stop there.
05:33In 1984, C-3PO's, a cereal inspired by the iconic droid, hit the market.
05:38Here are the forces with us.
05:40A delicious part of this nutritious breakfast.
05:43They were shaped like two rings fused together, giving it a bit of extra crunch.
05:47It was a unique idea, but unfortunately, nothing gold can stay.
05:51Just a couple of years later, the promotion between the company and the film ended,
05:54and C-3PO's went with it.
05:56The product was rebranded to Pro Grain and marketed as a sports food.
06:00It's just as well.
06:013PO isn't exactly athletic.
06:03Now you can experience the taste of Kellogg's C-3PO's, a crunchy new force at breakfast.
06:11May the force be with you.
06:12Number 24, Lifesaver Holes.
06:15New Lifesavers Holes Candy.
06:17The unmistakable flavor of Lifesavers Candy in unforgettably delicious little bites.
06:24Some concepts are so silly that they loop back around to being genius.
06:28Lifesavers have come in standard ring shape, with a space in the middle.
06:31In 1990, they shook things up with the release of Lifesaver Holes,
06:35a tiny fruit-flavored sphere that filled in the original shape.
06:38Look who's making waves.
06:40Lifesavers Holes.
06:41It was the perfect tongue-in-cheek creation, and when they were first released,
06:45they seemed to be popular.
06:46However, they were gone just as soon as they arrived.
06:49The tube they came in was found to be a choking hazard,
06:52leading to the business pulling the product before anyone could be hurt or worse.
06:56Even though it's understandable,
06:57some are hoping that they'll get another chance with different packaging.
07:01Watch out for Holes.
07:02They're groovy big.
07:04Number 23.
07:05PB Crisps.
07:06PB Crisps and new chocolate, yes, chocolate crisps from Planters.
07:11You know a snack is good when there are websites dedicated to its potential return
07:15decades after they stopped being made.
07:17Made by Planters in 1992,
07:20PB Crisps were essentially a peanut-shaped graham cracker stuffed with delicious fillings,
07:24such as chocolate, strawberry, and peanut butter.
07:27Not much is known about why this delicious snack was suddenly ripped away from consumers in 1995,
07:32but it hasn't stopped some superfans from trying to convince the company to bring them back.
07:36There's even a whole online movement spanning across multiple social media sites
07:40dedicated to advocating for its return.
07:42There haven't been any updates so far,
07:44but that hasn't dampened their spirits whatsoever.
07:47If that's not dedication, we don't know what is.
07:50Number 22.
07:52Flintstones Push-Up Pops.
07:53Fruity Flintstone sherbet and creamy cool vanilla.
07:58Although a couple of cereals inspired by them still exist today,
08:01at one point, the Flintstones had an undeniable chokehold on pop culture.
08:06This extended to other cereals,
08:07such as the now-defunct marshmallow variety Dino Pebbles.
08:11But there were other foods as well,
08:13with one of the most popular being their Ice Cream Push-Up Pops.
08:16Each flavor was inspired by the beloved characters,
08:19such as Cave Kid Cherry and Bedrock Berry.
08:21A yabba, dabba, a dabba, doo!
08:23Yeah, Flintstones Push-Ups, that's what's cool!
08:26Some variations even had candy embedded in them.
08:29After a few years, the characters were eventually dropped from the branding.
08:33And even though the popsicles themselves still exist,
08:35they don't have any of the nostalgia.
08:37It's proof of how powerful branding can be,
08:39and how attached people can become to it.
08:42Comes the star of the Stone Age with new Flintstones Cool Cream Push-Ups!
08:47Ooh!
08:48Number 21.
08:49Peanut Butter Boppers.
08:50Peanut Butter Boppers!
08:52It's creamy peanut butter, a crispy coating,
08:55and a whole lot more!
08:57A snack this delicious is simply too powerful to remain on grocery store shelves permanently.
09:02Peanut Butter Boppers were a dream made of smooth peanut butter rolled in crunchy toppings.
09:07They were introduced in 1985 and quickly found a following,
09:10leading to new flavors being added.
09:12Despite having captured the hearts of so many,
09:15they unfortunately didn't make it to the end of the decade.
09:17The reasons for their discontinuation haven't been revealed,
09:21but their disappearance hasn't stopped fans from loving them.
09:24Peanut Butter Boppers are a peanut butter dream!
09:27There have been several copycat recipes published,
09:29offering customers a chance to recreate their favorite childhood snack themselves.
09:33In 2023, General Mills even acknowledged that consumers missed the product,
09:37and to this day, many are hoping that they will bop back.
09:41The original flavors were Fudge Chip, Honeycrisp, and Peanut Crunch.
09:45And in June of 1986, Boppers added Fudge Graham and Cookie Crunch to the lineup.
09:49Number 20. McDonald's Fried Apple Pie
09:52Hot Apple Pie, like you've never seen or tasted before.
09:56While this item still exists in spirit, it doesn't hold a candle to the original.
10:01In 1968, McDonald's changed the game with the release of their fried apple pies.
10:05They made for the perfect end to each meal there, and for decades, they were sold as is.
10:11Everything changed in 1992 when the chain decided to switch up the cooking method.
10:15Rather than frying them, they opted to bake them instead, with the hopes of being healthier.
10:20It's unclear how much of a difference there was in terms of health,
10:24but the contrast in their taste definitely stands out.
10:27Since then, the pies have never been the same,
10:29and there are multiple generations of people who will probably never get to try them.
10:34Number 19. Burger King Cine Minis
10:37You fresh-baked Cine Minis.
10:39Four delicious rolls from the heart of the bun.
10:41An idea this good should have always been a permanent fixture,
10:44although they're mostly known for their savory items.
10:47In 1998, Burger King teamed up with Pillsbury to create a dessert.
10:52The Cine Minis, a line of tiny cinnamon rolls, were baked fresh daily.
10:56They ended up being a hit, and remained on the menu for nearly 15 years,
11:00before suddenly vanishing in 2012.
11:03Fans did not take that choice lying down.
11:05Petitions advocating for its return began circulating,
11:08showing widespread support for the defunct breakfast item.
11:11It seems there's a potential end to their wait.
11:14They were brought back for a limited time in Florida in late 2024.
11:18If they test well there, they could potentially return on a national level as well.
11:26When you have it your way, it just tastes better.
11:29Number 18. Ice Cream Cone Cereal
11:31Sugar-loaded cereals are like crack for kids,
11:34so it's only natural that the sickeningly sweet brands are the ones we're going to remember most fondly.
11:39Case in point, Ice Cream Cone Cereal.
11:42Sold by General Mills in the late 80s,
11:44when companies were not even bothering to pretend that the cereal they were peddling was healthy,
11:48ice cream cones consisted of puffed sweet treats that tasted like your favorite flavors of ice cream.
11:53Chocolate chip, vanilla, and chocolate.
11:55Little golden sugar cone-shaped triangles stood in for the cones to complete the visual effect.
12:01They only lasted a year in their original run,
12:03though it was brought back for a one-time deal in 2003 for the ice cream cone's 100th anniversary,
12:08and General Mills introduced Drumstick Cereal in 2019.
12:12But 1987 was still the sweetest year of them all.
12:16Number 17. Cheetos Twisted
12:19It may seem as if there's a new flavor of Cheetos available every week,
12:27so you'd be forgiven if you didn't notice that Cheetos Twisted no longer exist.
12:31New Twisted Cheetos Snacks
12:33These curly-Q-shaped Cheetos snacks were thicker,
12:36meaning more of that finger-staining cheese dust to coat your fingers.
12:40They also arrived armed with that patented Cheetos Crunch,
12:43and were available from around 2002 to 2012,
12:47but all good things must eventually come to an end.
12:51The Cheetos folks discontinued their Twisted brand,
12:53but never fear because the company is bound to create something similar down the line.
12:57It may seem to be twisted, dangerous, and cheesy.
13:00Number 16. McDonald's Arch Deluxe
13:03The Arch Deluxe was a deluxe flop.
13:06I was gonna say that.
13:07Me too.
13:07So obvious.
13:08McDonald's had been growing a reputation as a restaurant for children,
13:11and they created the Arch Deluxe to combat this notion.
13:15Made specifically for adults,
13:16it contained a quarter-pound burger with all the typical toppings,
13:19plus a special sauce mixed from mustard and mayonnaise.
13:22Mmm, the soft, comforting potato roll.
13:25I'm in the zone.
13:26The chain launched a massive marketing campaign to promote the burger,
13:29and released it nationwide in the spring of 1996.
13:33Unfortunately, it proved an enormous bomb,
13:36owing to its premium price and high caloric count.
13:39I even get to make the Arch Deluxe.
13:44After $300 million spent in research, development, and marketing,
13:49McDonald's discontinued the Arch Deluxe in August of 2000.
13:53If it were any more grown-up, we'd need to check your ID.
13:56Number 15. Shake-Em-Up Fries
13:58It's amazing what fast food companies will do to capture the attention of children.
14:02Take some standard fries, add a packet of flavoring, and bam!
14:06Shake-Em-Up Fries.
14:07Thanks for your money.
14:08There's so many ways you can shake them up.
14:10Like the jackhammer shake.
14:12The helicopter shake.
14:14You can simply dump in your fries,
14:15add as much delicious cheese flavor as you like,
14:18then shake and eat.
14:19Back in 2002, Burger King introduced this item,
14:22which was essentially fries with a packet of cheese powder
14:24that allowed kids to make the so-called cheesy fries.
14:27It was a fun little novelty, but not much else.
14:30And like most novelties, the fun quickly wore off,
14:33and the shake-em-up fries were discontinued as quickly as they appeared.
14:37They now exist solely in the nostalgic recesses of 90s kids everywhere.
14:42Number 14. The Dairy Queen Breeze
14:45If you love fries and yogurt,
14:48the new breeze will really blow you away!
14:51The Blizzard is a Dairy Queen mainstay,
14:54and has remained as such since its introduction in 1985.
14:57The company sold 100 million blizzards in its first year alone,
15:02and people continuously flocked to the chain
15:04to get their hands on the soft-serve treat.
15:06Our famous Blizzard is on sale now for just 99 cents.
15:11Or get a Breeze made with non-fat frozen yogurt, same price.
15:14So good!
15:15Five years after its inception,
15:17Dairy Queen attempted a low-calorie frozen yogurt alternative
15:20called the Breeze,
15:21which was said to have 10 fewer calories per ounce.
15:24The Breeze lasted over a decade,
15:34but never reached the cultural heights of its denser predecessor,
15:37and was discontinued in 2001 owing to a lack of demand.
15:42Number 13. Volcano Burrito
15:44Introduced in 1995 as a tie-in to the movie Congo,
15:48the Volcano Burrito came equipped with the standard ground beef,
15:52shredded cheese, rice, red tortilla strips,
15:55and a special lava sauce.
15:56If you're hungry for excitement,
15:58get the new Volcano Burrito at Taco Bell.
16:01But hurry, at just 99 cents,
16:03a taste eruption like this won't be active for long.
16:06It disappeared following the promotion,
16:08but was brought back in the spring of 2009,
16:11where it was placed on the so-called Volcano menu,
16:14alongside the Volcano Taco.
16:15Want one?
16:16Oh, great!
16:17Great!
16:17Look at you!
16:18You're a mess!
16:19Relax.
16:20I got it covered.
16:21It was a very popular item,
16:23and even to this day,
16:24people are trying to replicate the delicious lava sauce at home.
16:28Unfortunately, the Volcano menu was scrapped in 2012,
16:31and the Volcano Burrito disappeared the following year.
16:36Don't look at me.
16:37That said, it can reportedly still be found in Britain,
16:40South Korea, and Iceland.
16:42Number 12, S'mores Grahams,
16:45aka S'mores Crunch.
16:47Ice cream is great,
16:48but maybe you gravitated more towards the serialized,
16:51deconstructed version of this late-night camping fireside snack.
16:55General Mills has shrunk down many a treat over the years.
16:58Some have stood the test of time,
16:59like Cinnamon Toast Crunch,
17:01while others, like French Toast Crunch,
17:02were discontinued,
17:03only to be revived due to popular demand.
17:06Make it homemade taste!
17:07I like it!
17:08Sadly, this particular offering,
17:10which boldly threw marshmallows into the mix
17:12without even bothering to disguise them as something else,
17:15is no longer available.
17:16It ran from 1982 to 1988,
17:19and was briefly brought back in the 90s,
17:21only to get the axe again.
17:23Number 11, Yogos.
17:25Hello Yogos!
17:26Just got hit with watermelon splash flavor!
17:29Part fruity flavor, part yogurty coating!
17:31New watermelon splash flavor!
17:33Yogos!
17:34World's of fun!
17:35Parents will often do just about anything
17:37to get their kids to eat healthy.
17:38But even the busiest folks have their limits.
17:41Yogos weren't trying to masquerade as healthy fruit or yogurt,
17:44but instead were sugary, fruit-flavored snacks
17:47with a yogurt coating on top.
17:48They were an acquired taste, to say the least,
17:51but millennials were on that taste back when they were kids,
17:54as Yogos seemed to be on top between 2005
17:57and the beginning of the 2010s.
17:59Logo on the Yogo.
18:00Chewy, sweet, sour, and available in varieties of berry flavors,
18:05Yogos were perhaps too unique for this world,
18:07and burned so bright that they could never be brought back.
18:11Ah, what a blast!
18:12Just like new Go-Go Gorilla mix!
18:14Seriously, rough stuff!
18:16Number 10, Philadelphia Cheesecake Snack Bars.
18:19Ooh, Philly Snack Bars!
18:21Hey, ever think to yourself,
18:22I've been good.
18:23Why shouldn't I have cheesecake for a snack?
18:25Mmm, cheesecake.
18:27Cheesecake.
18:30What?
18:31This is heaven.
18:32No?
18:33It was just us?
18:34Yeah well.
18:35We have no regrets about devouring this indulgent snack
18:38from the Philadelphia people.
18:39Small, snack-sized cheesecake squares
18:41available to eat any hour of the day.
18:44You want the graham cracker bottom?
18:46You get the graham cracker bottom.
18:48You want sweet icing and fruit
18:49laced over that thick cheesecake deliciousness?
18:52Shut the front door and eat these slices of heaven in private,
18:55because we guarantee you're gonna have a moment.
18:58We can only hope and pray
18:59that the next time we stroll by our grocer's freezer,
19:02this classic snack will be staring back at us.
19:05Treat yourself to the rich and creamy cheesecake taste
19:07of Philadelphia Snack Bars.
19:09Here you go, Fluffy.
19:10They're a legit taste of heaven.
19:11Number 9, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Cereal.
19:15Yes.
19:15General Mills has released a modern TMNT-themed cereal
19:19inspired by the animated Nickelodeon series,
19:21but that is not the cereal we want.
19:23This show, as well as the contemporary live-action films,
19:26may resonate with the youth,
19:27but we're here in the name of nostalgia,
19:30and for 80s and 90s kids,
19:31few properties hit the mark
19:33like our favorite heroes in a half-shell.
19:35Featuring our beloved animated crime fighters on the box,
19:38this cereal, true to its namesake,
19:39was an odd hybrid that combines a base cereal
19:42similar to Chex's with Lucky Charm-style marshmallows.
19:45And you know what?
19:46It was totally awesome.
19:48Hey, redheads.
19:49Want to help put all the marshmallows back?
19:51Ah, these guys can handle it.
19:52Number 8, Hershey's Bites.
19:58The Hershey's company has so many delicious snacks under their belt,
20:02it's easy to forget that there's also plenty of forgotten classics.
20:08Hershey's swoops were one,
20:10but the penultimate spot on our list
20:12goes to the much-missed Hershey's Bites.
20:15No, not the candy bites,
20:16but this even crunchier and more snackable concoction
20:19that came in a variety of flavors.
20:21Hey, look who just showed up!
20:23Introducing new Kit Kat and Heath Bites!
20:26You get the feeling everyone is staring at us?
20:28What?
20:28Is my bag open?
20:29Rolo's, Kit Kat's, peppermint patties, and more
20:32were all shrunk down and packaged in a size that was perfectly geared for guzzling.
20:37Unfortunately, they posed a choking hazard for some,
20:40and most of the line was discontinued.
20:43However, Hershey's website does say that limited flavors can be purchased direct,
20:48but don't go scouring store shelves for this one.
20:50Number 7, Cap'n Crunch's Oops Choco Donuts
20:54It's a thin line that companies need to walk
20:56when trying to market cereal based on baked goods to kids.
21:00Parents can seemingly accept sweet treat-based products,
21:03as long as they're inspired by traditional breakfast dishes
21:05like French toast or cinnamon toast.
21:07But when the concept is something like ice cream,
21:09or as is the case here, donuts,
21:11it's a little harder to swallow.
21:13Parents be damned, though.
21:15These were awesome.
21:16With the familiar face of Cap'n Crunch on the box,
21:18these chocolate cereal rings garnished with sprinkles
21:21were a home run with the kids.
21:23Sadly, they were also too good for this world,
21:26and were discontinued.
21:28Number 6, Keebler Magic Middles
21:30An idea that will change the cookie world forever.
21:32Melted chocolatey middles in the cookies.
21:34Too late, we just did it.
21:36New Keebler Magic Middles.
21:37If there were ever a snack cookie king,
21:40this was the one.
21:42The mighty Keebler elves truly outdid themselves
21:45when they magically concocted the recipe for the perfect treat.
21:48Caught him smuggling melted chocolatey filling out of your factory.
21:51Pretty clever.
21:53He hid it inside this chocolate chip cookie.
21:55Oh, you mean Keebler Magic Middles.
21:58The shortbread wasn't too sweet,
21:59and held its integrity against that chocolatey
22:02or peanut buttery flavor core
22:04that burst onto your taste buds
22:05with the force of a fudgy freight train.
22:08Oh, and if you warmed these bad boys
22:10in the microwave for a few seconds,
22:11absolute heaven.
22:13We're not sure if we can go all the way
22:15to the top of the Keebler elf hierarchy for some answers,
22:18but we are desperate for Magic Middles
22:20to be made available again.
22:22New Magic Middles from Keebler.
22:24Genius.
22:24Pure genius.
22:26Number 5.
22:27Bell Beefer.
22:28Serving as Taco Bell's answer to hamburger joints,
22:30the Bell Beefer was a sloppy Joe-like burger
22:33with ground beef, onions, lettuce,
22:35and a special sauce.
22:36Nothing fancy, but it certainly gets the job done.
22:39Introduced in the 60s as the Chili Burger,
22:41the Bell Beefer enjoyed initial success,
22:43but quickly fell by the wayside.
22:45It just sort of stuck around for a while,
22:47not popular enough to be a bestseller,
22:49but not poor enough to be cut from the menu.
22:51But when Taco Bell transitioned to the Tex-Mex style
22:54in the late 80s and early 90s,
22:56the Bell Beefer finally got the boot.
22:58It made a brief resurgence in 2012
23:00as part of the dollar menu,
23:02but this too has disappeared.
23:04Number 4.
23:05Waffle Taco.
23:06Taco Bell wanted to get in on the breakfast market,
23:08and their first order of business
23:10was the Waffle Taco.
23:11The next generation of breakfast is here.
23:14Introducing the Waffle Taco.
23:15Eggs and sausage wrapped up in a waffle.
23:17Consisting of a folded waffle,
23:19bacon or sausage,
23:21scrambled eggs,
23:21and a drizzle of syrup,
23:22the Waffle Taco was a truly bizarre concoction,
23:26even for those used to silly fast food novelties.
23:28Waffle Taco.
23:29The chain's answer to the iconic McMuffin.
23:32We did it in a uniquely Taco Bell way.
23:34We're gonna do something a little bit different,
23:36and so that's how we think
23:37that we have a great chance.
23:38Unfortunately, it didn't look good from the outset,
23:41with Chief Marketing Officer Chris Brandt
23:43ambiguously stating,
23:45quote,
23:45some of the things on our menu
23:46might run out of gas.
23:48That proved to be the case,
23:49as the Waffle Taco was discontinued
23:51just one year after its inception,
23:53having been replaced with the Biscuit Taco.
23:56Number 3.
23:57Enchirito.
23:58The source of Taco Bell's Enchirito
24:00remains disputed,
24:01with various franchise owners,
24:03and even a high school student
24:04from Montebello receiving credit.
24:05It's gooey, it's gooey,
24:07it's your old friend Enchirito,
24:08just 99 cents for a limited time.
24:11The Enchirito appeared in the 60s,
24:13when one could buy an Enchirito,
24:14a taco,
24:15and a drink for 89 cents,
24:17which is about $7 today.
24:19It was composed of a tortilla,
24:21ground beef,
24:22beans,
24:22onions,
24:23and cheese.
24:24It was officially discontinued in 1993,
24:27but brought back later that decade,
24:29following intense demand.
24:31Unfortunately,
24:32it was once again taken off the menu in 2013,
24:35and has remained off ever since.
24:37With that said,
24:38customers can reportedly still order one,
24:40owing to its traditional ingredients,
24:42and easy construction.
24:44Number 2.
24:44Burger King Ribs.
24:46Ribs were the last thing people expected,
24:48from a fast food joint like Burger King,
24:50and it was this novelty that made them a phenomenon.
24:53Back in May of 2010,
24:54Burger King introduced racks of ribs to their menu,
24:57charging customers $8.99 to get their hands on the smoky goodness.
25:01Believe it,
25:01bone-in fire-grilled barbecue ribs,
25:04slow-cooked and smoky from Burger King.
25:06And while some balked at the premium price,
25:08others flocked to their local franchise to give them a try.
25:11In fact,
25:12the promotion proved so successful,
25:14that they were forced to cut it short,
25:15owing to a lack of product.
25:17ravenous customers had eaten their entire supply,
25:20but despite the obvious demand,
25:22the ribs have never been brought back.

25:40Number 1.
25:42McPizza.
25:42There once was a time when you could order pizza from an everyday McDonald's.
25:57Introduced in the 80s,
25:58the McPizza,
25:59as it was creatively called,
26:01was instantly mocked by consumers and competitors alike,
26:04with Pizza Hut even calling it the McFrozen.
26:07Well, dessert for me, mom.
26:08I don't deserve it.
26:10Family-sized pepperoni pizza.
26:12It's a parent's dream come true.
26:14And while it proved to be a somewhat popular novelty item,
26:17it was never really able to shed its reputation,
26:19and it was permanently pulled from the menu in the late 90s.
26:22McDonald's claims that the McPizza was discontinued,
26:25owing to its long cook times,
26:26as each pizza took upwards of 10 minutes to make.
26:29Talk about a drive-thru clogger.
26:31$5.99 pizza,
26:32with love from McDonald's.
26:34However,
26:35those willing to make a trip to Orlando, Florida,
26:37will find the last McDonald's in the world still serving the McPizza.
