00:06Reporting from the Gaza Strip, our colleague,

00:08Huda Haagasi, shares us an insight into the lives

00:11of Gazans during this time.

00:13During the two years of this Israeli genocidal war,

00:19I have personally been working every day as a war correspondent

00:22to try to give voice to the crimes of occupation army.

00:25I could say that these have been the two most difficult years

00:28of my life.

00:30During the two years and during my work,

00:32I have tried to give a voice to those people who

00:35live trapped under siege, under forced displacement,

00:40under destruction, and under death.

00:43Personally, and as a journalist, like most of my colleagues,

00:46we have tried to suffer what any citizen suffer,

00:50and any guys on the side, the Gaza Strip.

00:53And the very difficult conditions of working as a journalist,

00:56first, we have suffered forced displacement, we have suffered famine,

01:01and we have suffered death and lust.

01:05And on the other hand, we have been working under extreme conditions,

01:10without access to the internet, without access to electricity,

01:14under bombardment, and under Israeli bombing that has been

01:17persecuting us for all these years.

01:21Since the beginning of the Israeli Genocidal War,

01:24Israel has targeted, bombed, and killed journalists.

01:28Since the beginning of this war, more than 250 colleagues working in the media

01:33have lost their lives trying to report on the Genocidal War.

01:39Therefore, working as a journalist inside the Gaza Strip is not just any job,

01:44it means resistance, it means facing the obstacles of daily life,

01:49as well as facing attacks from the occupation army.

01:53And I personally believe that after these two years of war,

01:57working as a journalist can be considered one of the most dangerous and risky jobs

02:02here inside the Gaza Strip.

02:05I have personally suffered a lot.

02:08Firstly, because I have been separated from my family during the first phase of the war.

02:16My family remained in the north of the Strip,

02:20and I have to evacuate to the south.

02:23In the second phase, thank God, my family is not here.

02:27They were able to evacuate and escape the nightmare.

02:32But I have decided to stay in the Gaza Strip.

02:35I am staying to continue covering the events,

02:40the destruction, the death, and the bombing caused by Israel.

02:44These have not been easy years at all.

02:47They have been the most difficult years I have ever experienced,

02:50together with my fellow citizens,

02:52what I wish for today,

02:54and what I wish for every day I live in the Gaza Strip,

02:57is that this Israeli genocide war ends as soon as possible,

03:03that these bloodsheds end,

03:06that the death stops,

03:08that the destruction stops,

03:10that we can have our freedom of expression,

03:13that we can try to report without fear of being bombed at any moment,

03:17that international law are respected.

03:20But unfortunately, here in the Gaza Strip,

03:22nothing has been done.

03:26Like my fellow journalists, I have a goal,

03:30which is to continue covering,

03:32to continue giving a voice until this war can end,

03:35as soon as possible, here in the Gaza Strip.
