10:15And something I crave to this day

11:09What was he like growing up as a kid?

11:18I didn't always love eating Indian food
11:21It was kind of like
11:22When I got introduced to comfort food
11:24I was like
11:26I want burgers, pizzas, pastas
11:27And then my mom was like
11:30Okay, you can't eat that every single day
11:31So she then started incorporating
11:33North American flavors
11:34Into Punjabi cooking
11:35And that's kind of how
11:37My palate developed
11:38I started experimenting in the kitchen
11:41At a very young age
11:41I'm a mad scientist in my kitchen
11:48That's what I do
11:49You know, this is my lab
11:51People know what a cheeseburger is
11:53People know what a lasagna is
11:55But now we're adding
11:56That Punjabi style
11:57Kind of twist to it
11:58Mama Manji
12:03Is our spice queen
12:04She makes all our spices
12:06From scratch
12:07I think the magic behind Punjabi flavors
12:09It's this

12:13You know, ta means
12:14This is your spoon
12:15And there's no measurements
12:17You're just cooking with your heart

12:23So we have to have big flavors
12:26And that's what it's all about

13:08We've got about 14 different spices in there

13:11Really kind of mellows it out

13:22I mean, I don't have a beard like you do
13:24But the messy burgers are the best burgers
