00:00Today, I'm going to be talking about and I'm going to show you my DVD collection of

00:08Hawaii Five-0.

00:11And Hawaii Five-0, it came out on CBS in 1968 through 1980.

00:21It had 12 seasons.

00:23And Hawaii Five-0 was one of my favorite shows.

00:29Steve McGarrett, he's my hero.

00:36I remember when I was a kid, in the summer of 1996, I had a summer vacation from school.

00:50So I remember in the summer of 1996, one night on TV, like me, like 9 o'clock at night or

00:5710 o'clock at night, Hawaii Five-0 was on.

01:03And I only saw the closing credits of it.

01:10And the closing credits I saw, it was a bunch of guys canoeing in the water.

01:16And then when the show was on, the theme song and the intro, it got my attention.

01:29And I only saw, I only saw a little bit on season two on TV.

01:36I never saw like, I never saw season three through season 12 on TV.

01:42And I definitely didn't see season one on TV because of, um, cause this, yeah, this came

01:49on like, like Monday through Friday.

01:53And it, you know, came on at night.

01:57And I was like, I was like, you know, I was like, you know, I was like, you know, I was

02:02a kid and, you know, I had to get ready, you know, go to bed, you know, you know, like

02:08a school night.

02:09So the only time, um, I only saw this a little bit on TV and it was like a little bit of season

02:16two.

02:17Um, so, so, okay.

02:22So see, so the, the closing credits of, um, season two through season 12, the closing credits,

02:31you see, you see, um, bunch of guys canoeing in the water.

02:36Um, season one for the closing credits for season one, you see the, the police car driving

02:45down the street.

02:47And the, the show, um, you know, came out in 1960, it came out 1968 through 19, through 1980.

02:56And with this show, you could, you could tell the difference.

02:59Like you, like the show went through the whole 1970s.

03:03You could see like, you know, even like, you know, when season one, you know, season, it

03:10came out 1968.

03:11And like in the last season, it was like 1979 through 1980.

03:16Like when you watch the show, like through the seasons, you could tell like, um, the, the

03:22difference.

03:23Like, um, you could tell like the people, how, where they, you know, you see how, how they

03:28dress, the hairstyle.

03:30Um, you see like pay phones, you know, like even, even like, um, 1970s, you know, like,

03:37yeah, like music, um, you know, disco.

03:41Same thing.

03:42You tell like, you know, you see the people, how they, what, what they wear and stuff.

03:48Yeah.

03:49So, um, so Hawaii Five-0, the reason why it's called Hawaii Five-0 because of, um, Hawaii

03:56became the 50s state.

03:58So, Hawaii Five-0 takes place on Honolulu, like the, the, the police station.

04:04So you got this, um, a man named Steven Garrett.

04:08He, he was in charge of the, the, the police station.

04:11Um, he, he, he takes orders from the governor.

04:15Um, he's like the, like, he's like in charge.

04:19And he, he's also, um, um, um, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, like if somebody

04:27gets kidnapped or like if somebody, um, gets killed.

04:32Um, yeah.

04:35So he has, um, there's, um, a man named Chow.

04:40He, he works at the lab.

04:42And if, if Steven Garrett sees like a rock and has a little bit like a drop of blood,

04:48a drop of blood.

04:49Um, Steven Garrett takes the rock.

04:51He takes it to the lab.

04:53And, and Chow, he, he, he, he does a test on the blood.

04:58So you find out who, who's blood than that.

05:00Same thing, like if somebody gets, um, gets killed or like, yeah, they find, they find out

05:07from the lab.

05:08And there's also a man named John.

05:11He's, he's a lawyer for the, the five-hole department.

05:14So Steve, Steven Garrett, he has a crew.

05:17Um, Dan, Danny, he calls him, um, Dano.

05:22Like some, like, like, like sometimes when, um, when somebody gets arrested, Steve tells

05:30Danny, he would say, fuck them Dano.

05:33So, yeah.

05:34So his, um, so Steven Garrett, his crew is, um, Danny, um, Chin, um, Corno.

05:44So, and then late on, there was, um, Ben, Duke, and the late seasons, you got, um, Chuck,

05:54Lori, and Kimo.

05:57And, um, there's also, um, so some, so some episodes, um, you don't know who, you don't

06:06know, um, you know, you don't know who did it.

06:09And there are some episodes, like the beginning of the episodes, you know, you know who did

06:14it.

06:15And like, and like, you know, most times, like, um, like, um, like the, the bad guys, they

06:22tried, um, like it, let's say if he did something and Steve McGarrett talks to you about it.

06:29And if you, if you, um, if you like to see McGarrett about it, um, late on, Steve, he, you find

06:38out about something and then he comes back to you.

06:42And then when that happens, like, like if he, if Steve talks to you again, and he said,

06:47and if Steve says something else to you about it, and after Steve leaves, like sometimes the,

06:53the bad guys, they will, um, they will get nervous.

06:56Well, they, um, they might get scared because they know that, um, Steve McGarry, he's onto them.

07:03And that's why, um, that's why most of the bad guys, they don't like Steve McGarry because

07:08they don't like the way he is.

07:10And then you got this, um, bad guy that, um, his name's Ruf, Rufat.

07:15He's like the criminal mastermind.

07:18And he, he, he appears like, um, um, um, like, you know, through, through each of the seasons.

07:26So yeah.

07:27So this season one DVD, you got the, the front.

07:32So that's, um, Steve McGarrett, Danny, Corno, and Chen.

07:41The spine.

07:43In the back has, um, special features.

07:47Yeah.

07:48You got screenshots.

07:53You got these, um, Slim DD cases.

08:01So if, um, this one too.

13:19compliment, I went to achieve this, I don't know, I gotta go, that's gonna go,

13:21so that'll be my sling came out, this, that's really surprising,

29:24I know that the original box set, it looked like a shoe box.

29:29I think it came with a booklet.

29:32But, um, the box set got released again.

29:35Like, a big, um, um, like, it has, like, three, um, yeah.

29:42It looks like, um, this is the second box set.

29:49Right there, it has, like, three, yeah, like, those big, um, DVD cases.

29:55So, this one has three DVD cases each.

29:58So, the first one, you got Season 1 through 4.

30:02The second DVD case, you got Season 5 through 8.

30:06Um, the, the third DVD case, you got, um, Season 9 through 12.

30:14So, it's hard to say it.

30:17So, um, if you want to get, um, because I got these.

30:22Yeah, I got, I got, I got all these from, um, Amazon.com, but it was, like, from, um, it was, like, 2017.

30:33So, if you want to get the single DVDs, um, you might, you might get it, um, either Amazon.com or eBay.

30:42Or, uh, well, if not, you could try to get, um, the box set.

30:52So, yeah.
