Goodbye Spaceman: Founding KISS guitarist Ace Frehley dies aged 74

Known to fans as Spaceman, Ace Frehley was one of KISS' founding members alongside Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Peter Criss. The iconic rocker was reportedly struggling with medical issues after a fall this year.

00:00Ace Frehley, the founding member of rock band KISS and original lead guitarist when they started in 1973, has died.
00:09Frehley passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Morristown, New Jersey, his agent said.
00:17He was aged 74.
00:19A statement from the Rockers family said they were completely devastated and heartbroken
00:25and that they would cherish all of his finest memories and celebrate his strengths and kindness.
00:33Frehley's rock band KISS was hugely popular in the 1970s and 1980s
00:38with hits like Rock and Roll All Night, I Was Made for Loving You and Detroit Rock City.
00:48Earlier this year, the legendary guitarist cancelled part of his 2025 solo tour
00:54due to medical issues that were confirmed as a fall he suffered this year.
