00:00Here outside Shrewsbury train station, we've introduced yourself madam, as if people don't know, but go on.
00:05I'm Julia Buckley, the Member of Parliament for Shrewsbury.
00:07And you've got some special guests you've invited down, Julia.
00:11Yeah, I'm so delighted that we've finally got Artie up to here from Custain Group,
00:15and we've got Chris Pike here from the National Rail Industry Association.
00:20And they've come at my invitation because we are working with them for some potential investment into Shrewsbury.
00:25We've got some fantastic projects, and we're going to spend the day showing them everything that Shrewsbury's got to offer them.
00:31Great stuff. Where are you taking them then? What sites have you picked out?
00:34I mean, there's so many, it's tricky, isn't it?
00:36We've got enough time, we need a month to show them everything.
00:39But in the short time that we have, we're going to take them through the centre of town,
00:43up to the bid offices on Fish Street, where we're going to have a lovely lunch at St Vincent's.
00:46We've got a presentation from the Business Improvement District, from the Council about some of those projects.
00:51And then they're going to go on a walking tour along Riverside, so they can see the progress that we've already made on that site there,
00:57which is one of the potential locations.
00:59What are you hoping to see here today, Artie? What will make you smile?
01:03I just want to get a sense of the place and the people, and where you could go next,
01:08and what the community and people needs. I'm really excited.
01:10Yeah, yeah.
01:11And Chris, you're all about maximising the benefit of having a rail station in a town.
01:17Yeah, absolutely. What we're looking for is how the railway station and investment zone around the station can drive economic growth.
01:27Great stuff. Well, from the Shropshire Star, we wish you a splendid day here in our lovely Shrewsbury.
01:31Thank you, guys.
