10:04himself and that's by being present for these big shots from garcia in the final seconds of round one
10:10we'll see if he recovers that we've seen in this game at the elite level round two of the main event
10:19no question about that those two were so tight i loved when angel was the mouthpiece over the years
10:27for danny who's always been humble polite mild-mannered and just so loyal to his father you know early in his
10:34career after his first loss against thurman people were saying maybe you need to shift get a new
10:39trainer get somebody else in camp danny said i started with my dad i'm ending that's that's
10:45incredible danny told me in this past week he said i saw my dad almost lose his job his marriage
10:49his freedom his life to different things along but he was always at the gym no matter what if he's
10:55battling cancer
10:56he fights he's got to be awkward he's got to be in and out he's got an offbeat rhythm that can be
11:04hard to time he needs to do that and and really rely on his motor and his endurance and his effort
11:10because if he's going to try and go for skill for skill punch for punch power for power with
11:14with uh garcia it's going to be a short night 100 percent you know i think dan's already realized
11:20okay i can hurt this guy and he's picking his shots and trying to end this night early
11:26danny doesn't want to go 10 rounds and one thing i always impressed me with garcia is his balance
11:34you know the man has never been off his feet in his long illustrious career but also the the power
11:39he generates like that yeah the power that he's able to generate from that balance that comes from
11:44the legs is very impressive by every saw a little shot like that rung gonzalez all the way to his heels
11:51and danny garcia has always had a beard on him i can never forget lucas matisse knocking the
11:55mouthpiece out of his mouth but danny garcia scored that upset win like he did against amir khan earlier

12:59and you know garcia has a heavy hand because it's like a delayed reaction he gets hit and then you see
13:06in that situation it's not just about winning it's how you win and garcia was always emphatic
13:15in victory in the way that he was able to put guys away that eric morales rematch ko was i mean a
13:21highlight for your career the only nastier ko dsg has scored in this building was rod salka in 2014
13:27in a mismatch an absolute brutal finish early in that fight but round three here daniel gonzalez the
13:34smaller fighter he's been confident all week a 22 four and one record but as soon as he tasted that
13:42power in round one of garcia he took on a different posture for the most part
13:45outside of a single punch here and there danny's starting to throw the jab now he first couple
13:50rounds he wasn't worried about that he was trying to land some big shots now he's working on getting
13:55the right distance so those big shots land comfortably it's free the high guard of gonzalez
14:02swallows up that big right hand yeah gonzalez he's you know he's a he's an he's elusive because he's
14:09awkward he's not elusive because he's smooth and when you got a guy like garcia who's so good at
14:14timing punches and also punching with you that's how he catches a lot of guys because you start opening
14:19up bang that left hook finds its home between the shots 25 of the 27 connected punches for danny
14:25garcia so far have been power shots you want to be on the business end of that as gonzalez continues to
14:31midway point in round three but also gonzalez is not getting off because he's so busy worrying about
14:38what's coming back i don't know if you heard about uh some people remember the michael jordan flu game
14:46how about the chris el jerry flu fight against against daniel gonzalez when he pulled it out in

14:57chris i stayed in a hot shower for about 30 minutes because i was had to chill so bad wow and then i
15:03slept for about 30 hours good hook to the body there from gonzalez one minute to go in round three
15:09you know this style that gonzalez is utilizing right now the in and out darting style that's his best bet
15:14he's got to be careful not to throw long combinations where he can get countered through the middle
15:18but to be in at in and out be a little
15:20is he's not committing to the punches and he's leaving them out it's allowing garcia opportunities
15:28to land that's because he's worried about getting hit with that left hook lead right hand there from
15:33garcia crowd picking up that chant of dsg which ak is counterintuitive because you're going to get hit
15:39more absolutely it's like when you're trying not to get hurt and you hurt yourself

18:34to touch on a fight for a minute it seems that your power was evident from the very first round the
18:40first time you landed a right hand did you notice that he was hurt from the first round yeah i noticed
18:45i heard him but for some reason my timing felt a little bit off so i'm like okay let me just settle
18:50down for the next couple rounds let me just work behind my jab let me work behind my jab and then when
18:55he stops his feet try to catch him because i already knew what he was trying to do everybody
18:58think i'm flat-footed they could just box around me like it's easy but when you're in there with me
19:02it's a whole different ball game at that point did you know that you were going to end this night early
19:06um no i was just taking it round by round i was taking it round by round i didn't underestimate him
19:12as you can see he was in a great shape his body looked good he's cut up so i just um i just took it
19:19round by round me and my dad just worked on the game plan just stick to the game plan that's it
