00:30Marines. God bless you, Camp Pendleton. It is so much fun and such an honor to be out here to

00:35celebrate 250 years of United States Marines. And of course, Marines, I bring greetings today

00:48from our Commander-in-Chief, Donald J. Trump, and he wanted me to tell each and every single

00:54one of you, that he's proud of you, that he loves you, and that despite the Schumer shut

01:01down, he is going to do everything he can to make sure you get paid exactly as you deserve.

01:12Whether you're a private or a general, that spirit of service has been the spirit of the

01:18Marine Corps for two and a half centuries. So I just wanted to say, from the bottom

01:24of my heart, from one Marine to another, from the Vice President of the United States

01:29to the whole Marine Corps, thank you for your service. We are proud of you and proud of your

01:35service.

01:40And in the Trump administration, we know that the work you do, protecting our country, putting

01:47your lives on the line to defend our way of life, is at the heart of Marine Corps service.

01:53Now when officials try to shift focus to mandating diversity quotas, or they try to inject partisan

02:00politics into the American armed forces, they impede the Marine Corps' ability to do its

02:06best work. And that's why the Secretary of War and the President of the United States have

02:11stood so firmly against that crap.

02:14Now we recognize that it is not our diversity that makes us stronger, it is our common purpose,

02:25it is our common mission, and it is the fact that every single person here bleeds Marine Corps'

02:31War Green. The generations upon generations of Americans who cut their teeth, keep kicking

02:37ass, keep taking names, Semper Fidelis Marines, happy 250th birthday. God bless you.

02:43The Marines have been the tip of the spear of our armed forces and the vanguard of the fight

03:01for freedom. Just as they are right now in the Caribbean. Let's hope the wrong people don't

03:08think about the F-A-F-O around there.

03:16You are set apart for a decision. So on behalf of the Department of War, thank you. Congratulations

03:22on 250 years of success. And here's to 250 more. I can say to you, we've got seven little

03:30kids in our stead. Not so little anymore. A couple teenagers. Man, I would be proud as

03:35a dad if I ever saw one of them put on the uniform of a United States Marine. You serve
