00:00it it it's that's sort of a bit of a difficult question because there's a whole generation of
00:14of fans like you guys who've um who've basically grown up without this rivalry
00:22but um for us for us older heads it's um it's the big thing
00:27um it's england australia in any sport that's that's big isn't it you always want to get one
00:33over on the um on the aussies and particularly in rugby league because they've had the ascendancy
00:39for um excuse me for so long i mean do you guys know when the last time uh england stroke great
00:47britain won an ashes series 70s yeah 70s isn't it i think somewhere 1970 1970 and the last time
00:57they won a test series in this country was in the 50s so um you know it's been a it's been a long
01:05time coming um i think it's 13 successive excuse me successive ashes series the aussies have won
01:13um so if great britain sorry england could turn that around it would be uh absolutely massive
01:21for the game here i think certainly among rugby league people and it's it people like international
01:28sport don't they people that don't watch sport generally will watch international rivalry people
01:35people who aren't golf fans watch the rider cup for example and i'm sure there'll be a lot of people
01:40who aren't necessarily league fans who will be tuning into um to the test matches this weekend
01:46particularly the first test at wembley the most important thing for england is to put up a decent
01:51performance we don't want to see them get battered obviously we need to them to show that they can
01:59compete with the aussies whether they're going to win or not it's it's a big ask isn't it against a
02:04equality side like that but they need to um they need to show that they can compete
02:16thanks for joining us please like and share and we'll see you next week
