24:01Before I could ask what he meant, he swerved toward a row of rental bikes lined up outside a shop, yanked one free, and hopped on.
24:08I jumped onto the back, and together we cut through the crowd.
24:11For a second, I thought we'd lost them, when suddenly, this car screeched in front of us, and Gabriel slammed the brakes.

24:22Gabriel and I exchanged one look.
24:24Then we jumped in.
24:26The car sped through the city, until the bright lights of Paris disappeared behind us.
24:31I had no idea where we were going, but I was too busy trying to process everything.
24:36We finally stopped at this abandoned building, and Gabriel's mom told us everything.
24:41I met Gabriel's dad when I was just 18.
24:44Fell in love, got married, and thought I'd have a happy life, until everything fell apart.
24:48Mom didn't know dad was in the mafia.

24:52I wanted to leave right away, but his father made it impossible.

25:41We spent the night at the safe house, and the next morning, we left for the airport.
25:46While Gabriel's mom did the paperwork, he walked up to me with a smirk.
25:50So, I guess this is it?

26:11Before I could get a word out, our flights were announced, and Gabriel winked at me and laughed.
26:16I didn't know what he meant, or what was waiting for me on the other side of this flight.
26:21But for the first time in a long time, I wasn't afraid of the unknown.
26:26And that's a happy ending for a stalking story.
