00:00It was gorgeous. We're all just having the time of our lives because the story is important and because we all wanted to be there and we all were like committed to the work.
00:10One of the first things Mona said to me was that it's going to be like a theatre camp and so be prepared for that.
00:18Yeah, it was a bit of a theatre camp or a boot camp. It was pretty full on and in fact we're more interested in odd, unusual sounds and odd, unusual moves, which I was more than happy to provide.
00:29Rehearsal, rehearsal, rehearsal. I had the cast dance and do the formations constantly. I was like, you have to do it in the shower in the morning. We knew waiting in between takes, just like drill it, drill it, drill it. Whenever I looked over, they would either be singing or dancing in a corner just practicing together.
00:47We needed to connect in that group to be able to get to that level of performance that Mona needed for the film. We're able to be vulnerable with each other and trust each other.
00:56We did all these incredible improvisational workshops and just to be able to use your voice without having to worry about being in tune and actually it to come from your heart and from your instinct.
01:08I've actually never been to theatre camp or any camp of the sort to be best so I didn't have anything to compare it to but it was a lot of fun.
01:15There's a lot of dancing and drinking good wine and laughing and yeah, good bonding.
01:22I think we have a philosophy about creating a maternal environment where there's room for people to make mistakes and bring their thoughts forth and where there's a gentle hierarchy, if that makes sense.
01:37Enjoying ourselves in the meantime and it's just like there's no, it's really impossible not to create great lasting connections and I love that part of the job, I really do.
