00:00Hello, yes, over 550 pieces of music history are set to go under the hammer in London.
00:09A slice of rock and roll history is set to hit the auction block as Prop Store brings more than 550 pieces of music memorabilia to the capital.
00:20Now, the sale is expected to fetch over three million pounds and it offers fans and collectors a rare chance to own items once belonging to legends such as John Lennon, Noel Gallagher, George Michael, Michael Jackson and Jimi Hendrix as well.
00:38Among the headlines is Noel Gallagher 1960 Gibson ES355, a guitar that once survived one of Oasis' most infamous backstage bust-ups.
00:51Now expertly repaired, it's tipped to fetch between £250,000 and £500,000, a testament to both its turbulent history and the Gallagher's enduring influence on British music amplified by the reunion.
01:08So we deal directly with some musicians. So we've got content from Zach Starkey, who's consigned directly through us, some of it's to raise money for charity.
01:16Sometimes it's through other collectors who have amassed these things over the years and time has come to pass them on to somebody else and renew their own collection.
01:25We have got over 450 items just on day one of our auction, from everything from Pink Floyd to Oasis, John Lennon, Kate Bush, Michael Jackson.
01:35And I think it's a perfect time for selling Oasis content because they've just reunited.
01:41They're on tour as we speak. And I think the fact that they are so popular still shows how popular they are and how this stuff is going to be worth so much even in the future.
01:51Sometimes if there's a big news, like a reunion, then obviously that's a really great time to try and sell things.
01:57Other times, like with Michael Jackson, people love Smooth Criminal. They love the fact that he wears for Taurus. Pink Floyd are always going to be popular.
02:07So with those kind of things, there's never really a better time. It's just trying to find the audience, really.
02:14So every year we're getting brand new bidders coming to us at Prop Store.
02:18Sometimes you do have people with deep pockets who have an absolute passion for a particular artist or a particular band and they will try and scoop everything up,
02:25which is why we love putting on things like the exhibitions because it gives people a real chance to come down, experience it, see it in the flesh.
02:31You can come and see the guitar that Liam Gallagher smashed that broke up Oasis.
02:35And other times it's just people who just desperately want a piece of their favourite artist or their favourite band to take home.
02:41We've got such a volume of Oasis content that we wanted to make a dedicated day just for that content.
02:48Some of the real headline pieces are in day one. So the Wonderwall guitar, the Pink Paisley, the Cherry Ray Gibson.
02:55So those are the ones that we think are going to make headlines and we want them to be kind of front and centre.
