00:10texas really hard to trust i mean certainly arch manning has not delivered anywhere close to the

00:21side obviously for a college football game especially in the sec who do you like in this

00:26one and that little hook is hanging out there with texas at seven and a half at least from what i see

00:30on my board here and you know mississippi state they're definitely not uh you know in the upper

00:36echelon of the sec but they did you know earlier this year they beat uh arizona state uh they're

00:42in starkville defending big 12 champions so uh and i think they are improved especially on defense but

00:48this handicap a lot of times when i make a wager on a side craig i'm not so much betting on a team

00:54as i am betting against a team and that's really what i'm doing here uh this is mostly a bet against

01:01texas you know you look at that game against oklahoma a couple weeks ago and it appeared that

01:06texas and arch manning maybe had that offense headed in the right direction it wasn't a overwhelming

01:11performance they defeated oklahoma 23 to 6 a very good sooner uh defense manning looked more poised on

01:18his throws i made a couple out route throws that were nfl type throws across the field just uh

01:24on a rope their running game uh got going a little bit trey wisner 94 hard-earned yards on 22 carries

01:33against the sooners uh but alas that offensive rebirth was short-lived against kentucky i mean

01:39after taking maybe one step forward against oklahoma they took two or three steps back against the wildcats

01:47of kentucky just a miserable offensive showing manning was he missed intermediate throw after

01:53intermediate throw you're not going to hit them all um a college quarterback certainly you're not

01:58going to hit 100 but you got to hit most of them and he really missed quite a bit the offensive line

02:04continues to struggle they gave him very little protection really didn't have much of a chance to

02:09begin with texas only 179 yards against vanderbilt only 3.25 yards per play this was a vanderbilt or

02:20rather a mississippi state defense that gave up 455 yards to ole miss 425 yards to georgia

02:28texas though again 179 and only eight first downs this texas team just can't score uh so you know

02:37until further notice when they go on the road you basically when you're laying seven to lose you got

02:43to think they've got to win by double digits eight and nine are pretty much dead numbers so i just think

02:49mississippi state's got enough to keep it close i like uh the bulldogs the uh cowbell cowbells will

02:54be clanging i'm sure they're in starkville give me the bulldogs plus seven over the longhorns
