00:00Welcome back to the Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance. It's the snowboard

00:05women. All right well the first rider out of the gate is going to be Anna

00:10Martinez and now we are ready to kick things off and she is on course out of

00:16start two. Yeah kicking things off with an air, gotta grab there and while she won

00:26here last year she has not been on this venue before so this is all new to her

00:30she is taking that little traverse over through this shelf feature she's on the

00:34far the rider's left side of this venue which is kind of the big mountain meaty

00:39side with some big cliffs big features and some big exposure. Yeah so the

00:43Chamonix rider picking off what she is right at home with beautiful champagne

00:53powder and a right off the nose of that stomping as well.

00:59Two stomped airs nice and clean this is area that might have Suncrest if

01:05something has a little south kick to it so we'll see if that gets her at all but

01:08right now it does not look like it she is just getting down the mountains

01:12fluidly lots of turns coming into this couloir feature kind of a cool gully a

01:17little air in the middle nice stomps it and she is coming out with a lot of heat.

01:21Pointing it out of the couloir so Anna Martina is getting it done as we go

01:26straight back up to the top Nuria Castanbaron having a huge impact in the

01:32last event. Wow! Amazing dropping straight out of start two heading to the

01:38powder panel that no one had been to super seen the pull commit.

01:42Yeah getting completely engulfed by the powder so she is going to be loving these

01:56conditions brushing her goggles off so she can see again Nuria Castanbaron.

02:00Still finding those fresh tracks setting herself up to get into this next section.

02:04Popping off this nice little ledge deep in the snow again it's kind of become a bit of a

02:13staircase on the approach to this cliff as we see Nuria out on the way riders right side

02:19getting a shifty there popping it completely in control for the Spanish rider.

02:23Super smart took a new section of that clip full fresh landing continuing on to

02:29always just find her new line. This girl loves snowboarding and I think she'd love

02:33snowboarding in pow.

02:36Well two features for the price of one there she stacks them up and there's more below her

02:46arcing around that one onto the lower section of the face putting the board into the fall line

02:51popping playing full send wide open on the throttle for Nuria. This is a great run

02:57as we make our way back to the top this is Mikayla Davis being the Aussie rider. The last time we

03:07were on Ozone she won so she is a huge threat here today and lining up an air right out of that

03:13second start gate and then making her way again heel side over to that rocky traverse to get over and

03:19get into the meaty section of that rider's left side of the face the big mountain face.

03:25Yeah that view from behind really shows you just how exposed that traverse is for a snowboarder on

03:30their heel side edge. As Mikayla getting now set up above the first possible feature that she

03:36could hit and getting set now and into it well and truly stomping the first air for Davis Meehan.

03:46Yeah finding a nice clean landing and making some quick turns as she moves over to her next feature right off the nose.

03:55Diving into a couple good deep patterns there.

04:00Yeah Mikayla is so strong on the heel side edge.

04:02And coming down now this is proving to be a popular section in the snowboard women's category.

04:09Getting on that heel side nice and patient. That was very well done there for Mikayla Davis Meehan.

04:14The last rider of the day. Noemi Aki the Freeride World Tour Champion is on the back.

04:25You can tell why she's champion already. Look at the pace that she had coming out of the start gate

04:31moving so quickly. She's the rider that she can really move side to side on her board. She's so strong.

04:38Making big sweeping turns like we've just seen. Full commitment in this really steep part of the venue.

04:45This has been one of the hallmarks of Noemi's riding all season long. Just the intensity that she goes out of the gate with.

04:51She keeps it moving. She keeps the pace going. Going off the nose of that feature. Getting control immediately.

04:57With the heel side edge. She has the big mountain chops.

05:19And really I mean this view below her it really tells the story of how intense this face is.

05:26It's so steep. It's so committing and again it's all about speed control here. You got to make your way

05:31through these features around these like really sharp rocks and be able to control that speed.

05:37Stay right on top of your board. Stay super square.

05:39So Noemi following the track that we saw from Anna Martinez earlier. Control is everything up on this face.

05:46She's been riding for a while but she's still so high on the mountain and there's so much exposure

05:51below her. So keeping things in check is absolutely critical. And Noemi doing a masterful job of that so far.

05:58And she lines up popping one. Full release to the fault line. Noemi holds it. That was so committed.

06:11The judges said they want a commitment. Noemi just gave it to them on a platter. Full speed,

06:25full-throttle approach executed like a world champion.
