00:00The first NFL head coach has been fired and we're only six weeks into the season.

00:04After a 1-5 start to the season, the Titans just parted ways with Brian Callahan.

00:10Callahan is, or I guess now was, in his second season with the Titans.

00:15His 4-19 record didn't give the team's front office, nor his fans, any excitement to celebrate in his limited sample size.

00:23In fact, following a 41-20 home loss to the Colts a couple weeks ago, fans chanted fire Callahan before halftime,

00:32and he ended up giving up his play-calling duties to quarterback's coach, Bo Hardigree.

00:36Now, the Titans fired Mike Vrabel after going 6-11 during the 2023 season,

00:42and they replaced him with Callahan, who was then the Cincinnati Bengals' offensive coordinator.

00:48The Titans ended up going 3-14 in his first season, which allowed them to grab the number one pick and draft Cam Ward,

00:56and that immediately raised expectations in Nashville.

00:59But if you've watched this team and Cam Ward play football this season,

01:04then you know that they've both been a disaster through six weeks.

01:08Ward has just three touchdown passes to four interceptions with a QB rating of only 25,

01:14and he's thrown for just 1,101 yards.

01:18He's also completing just 55% of his passes, and he's been sacked at league-high 25 times.

01:26On top of that, he's yet to really show the dual-threat skills that help him have success at three different colleges

01:33and turn those programs around and made him the top quarterback in the draft class.

01:38An offensive-minded head coach and former OC couldn't bring out the best in the first overall pick.

01:44That's why he's fired.

01:45Jets fans heard the words NFL head coach fired, and I bet you guys' ears perked up

01:50because your new head coach, Aaron Glenn, is 0-6 in his first year in charge.

01:54And, well, no disrespect, but this team has looked a lot more dysfunctional than the Titans.

01:59But again, he's only in his first year.
