00:05Enforcement agents will not have the charges brought against her by the Trump administration
00:10dropped. A judge denying Hannah Dugan's motion to dismiss Tuesday on the basis she was performing
00:18within the capacity of her duties. U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman rejected Dugan's argument and
00:25cited with the finding of another judge who also ruled the case should proceed. Adelman says there
00:31is no basis for granting immunity simply because some of the allegations in the indictment describe
00:37conduct that could be considered part of a judge's job. Dugan's lawyers say they're disappointed in
00:43the ruling but vow to prevail in the courtroom. They do have the opportunity to appeal the ruling
00:48but have not disclosed whether they plan to do so. Another hearing on the case is scheduled for
00:53September 3rd. Dugan pleaded not guilty to concealing an individual to prevent arrest and
00:59obstruction. If convicted she faces up to six years in prison and a fine of $350,000. No trial date is
01:07scheduled yet. Dugan filed the motion to dismiss in May. She's accused of escorting 31-year-old
01:14Eduardo Flores Ruiz and his lawyer from her courtroom through a back door in order to avoid ICE agents in
01:21the courthouse. Flores Ruiz was eventually caught and arrested by agents for being in the country
