00:00Sutton Foster wasn't famous enough to star opposite boyfriend Hugh Jackman in Song Sung Blue.
00:06Fans are already buzzing about Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson's upcoming musical biopic, Song Sung Blue.
00:12But according to an insider, it's got Jackman's girlfriend, Broadway star Sutton Foster, feeling left out.
00:18The first thing people wonder when they see Song Sung Blue is, hey, why isn't Sutton Foster in this movie with Hugh?
00:24The insider tells the National Enquirer, noting that Foster, 50, is the right age, has the right look, and is also an accomplished singer.
00:33Unfortunately, the vision for this project required that Hugh star opposite somebody who was equally famous, says the insider,
00:39explaining that Foster is widely viewed as more of a theater star rather than a movie actress.
00:44You're starting to see where feelings can get hurt, especially for somebody like Sutton who puts too much importance into her acting and musical accomplishments.
00:51Songs Sung Blue, which will hit theaters on Christmas Day, stars Jackman, 57, and Hudson, 46,
00:59as husband and wife musicians Mike and Claire Sardina as they form the Neil Diamond tribute band, Lightning and Thunder.
01:06The flick was a small movie for Hugh, just a few weeks of rehearsing and shooting and nothing to get bent out of shape about, says the insider.
01:14Plus, Hugh had wanted to work with Kate for years, even before he and Sutton became an item.
01:19Sutton shouldn't feel left out, adds the insider.
01:23With a big promotional tour head for Hugh and Kate, it's only going to get worse for Sutton, even if Hugh doesn't see what all the fuss is about.
