00:05President Donald Trump hearkened back to his days on The Apprentice as he made his way to meet top U.S. military leaders on Tuesday.
00:13I'm going to be meeting with generals and with admirals and with leaders.
00:17And if I don't like somebody, I'm going to fire them right on the spot, Trump said.
00:21An unprecedented meeting took place on Tuesday when U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth went after fat generals and diversity initiatives per Reuters.
00:29When Trump later took the stage, he jokingly said,
00:32If you don't like what I'm saying, you can leave the room. Of course, there goes your rank. There goes your future.
00:40He then professed his support of the troops.
00:43I am with you. I support you. And as president. I have your backs 100 percent, Trump said.
00:50Hegseth also told the group that if they don't like his agenda, they should resign.
00:55Foolish and reckless political leaders set the wrong compass heading.
00:58And we lost our way. We became the woke department, Hegseth said at the Pentagon.
01:04But not anymore. He promised changes to how discrimination complaints were going to be handled,
01:09as well as how accusations of wrongdoing are investigated.
01:13He added that the current system has officials walking on eggshells.

01:32Hegseth aimed at overweight troops, saying,
