00:00Hi InStyle, I'm Brittany Snow. Come get ready with me to see how I go from looking like this
00:05to this. Come on in.
00:13Wait, wait, I want to do it again. I wanted a good clap. We are getting ready for the InStyle
00:20Image Maker Awards that I am very, very honored to get to attend. I've never been before and I've
00:27always seen them and I just really love getting to be around people who are actually the people
00:33that make all of this stuff happen. And these beautiful, talented people around me make sure
00:39that I look suitable to go to awards functions. Diane and Glenn. It's such a great thing when you
00:47have people also around you that it's a good time to hang out with because you're with them a lot
00:52and you want to just sit and talk and feel sort of calm and we have a good time. Glenn and I for a
00:58while, Diane is a new, a newbie. New edition. But just, you know, it was like a first date and then I was
01:05like, you want to be in a relationship? You want to do this? You want to do this forever? We're going for
01:09like classically snatched, like timeless, but still like really clean and sleek. This morning I thought
01:16I was going to be wearing my hair down. So this was a last minute switch up. And for this, I sort of
01:22like to make sure that everyone feels inspired and wants to do their own thing as well. I don't want
01:27to give too much of a set thing because it can be interchangeable. And sometimes I know my opinion
01:33is not the best one. I like people to kind of go with what they're feeling. You know what you like.
01:38I do know what I like. When we were doing the Emmys, I got way too many opinions and everyone was very
01:44split on it. And it made it harder to decide because everyone was pretty. We all had very,
01:51we all had strong opinions, but I felt like we picked the right one. Can I do that even more back?
01:56Yeah. Okay. Thanks. See, I have opinions. I'm answering your questions, but I'm also really trying not to
02:03move. I definitely really do appreciate the classic style of feeling like you're playing a character in a
02:13way. I do feel like once I get into a dress and have full glam and hair and makeup, I do feel like
02:18a different person, a fancier version of myself. And that does really help with the event.
02:23I know. I get curious about people who do get super nervous and I'm like, you're an actor,
02:28like just turn it on and pretend like you're being. It's such an awkward thing to like be on a red
02:33carpet and, and serve. Like if you really think about it and you zone out it from like a macro
02:38way, because usually what you should do is just go on the carpet and be like, Hey, what's up? Like,
02:44yeah, but you can't do that because all the pictures would be awful. So you really got to go
02:47into your inner, inner movie star, your inner face, but it is just a different version of,
02:53of myself. I don't take it too seriously. I don't, I try not to like judge myself.
02:57I never really do eye drops and that has got me into trouble before the night before I got really
03:04hurt by a guy that I was dating. This is a long time ago. And I was crying all night long. And I
03:08went to this really massive red carpet the next day and my eyes were so bloodshot and everyone
03:12thought I was high, but I wasn't, I had just been crying all night. Moral of the story is you got to
03:18use the eye drops. That would have really saved me. And people would have not thought I was high.
03:22I get to tonight go with my friend, Katie Lowes, who we met on the hunting wives and she has become
03:32a really great friend of mine. And I just so enjoy her company, especially like events like this,
03:39where we just don't take ourselves too seriously. We have so much fun together. And she also knows
03:43everybody in this business. And so it's going to be just fun to be with a girlfriend and get to eat
03:50tiny hors d'oeuvres and have a margarita. Can't go wrong. Oh yeah. She's in there. She's not going
03:58nowhere. Beauty is, is, I don't know if it's, it's pain, but it's temporary pain in terms of, I do feel
04:05so much better when I get through the red carpet. I do. I don't want to tell this to Glenn in front of
04:11him, but he's right there. But sometimes I'll just, I'll just like undo like a little bit after the red
04:17carpet, just so it like breathes a little. I've definitely been known to take out my hair in a
04:21limo and just be holding it. Brittany is one to eat her lips. Oh yeah. It would be risky to do
04:28like a bold lip on her. So we're keeping her in like a pretty pink, hydrated lip. You can lip me
04:35and I will just keep refreshing. I'll just keep doing it. You don't trust me. Well, I do constantly
04:41refresh my lips when, when I'm at an event. You're to be trusted to refresh. Because I know I'm doing it.
04:46Good at her makeup. Oh, cool. I don't ever know what he's doing back there. I just trust him. So
04:52it's, it's always a surprise. I didn't even know there was someone else's hair in my head.
04:59I mean, this current era of my career is so cool. I mean, it's just really nice that people really
05:06loved the show and that it's being received well and that people have very strong opinions about it.
05:11I find it so fascinating and fun. I've been in this business since I was three years old. I wasn't
05:17really like, you know, going to nine to five job, but I was in commercials and stuff. I am really
05:22grateful that I'm still getting to do it and that people still are liking the shows I'm on.
05:27My inspirations for, for styling and for, for glam too. It's like, I, I always want to look like maybe a,
05:34a mixture or maybe my own, my own thing, but Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and Michelle Pfeiffer,
05:42Grace Kelly, Jennifer Aniston. If they had like a, a hybrid child, like just always really simplistic
05:49and classy and effortless. And I can always find inspiration if I go to one of their Google searches.
05:56I don't know why I didn't tell you that this is happening. No, I knew it was happening. Oh,
06:06you did? Yeah. Oh, good. Okay. Oh yeah. I'm here. Hi. The beautiful, brilliant, talented,
06:13best. Wow. See, I needed her. That was how you do it. One take wonder. I've heard date tonight.
06:20How lucky am I? My gorgeous, fabulous, talented date. She does her own mascara everywhere and she's
06:26the best eyelashes. I start at like the base and then I kind of do this like wiggly thing
06:31and then I go up from there and then I kind of do it where they sort of fan out just a little bit.
06:37So they're sort of like, they're doing like a this. A wisp. Aren't you anti-curling too? I'm anti-curling.
06:43I like a lash curl. Well, if you curled your eyelashes, they would be in your eyebrows.
06:48I always bring a good time in case you didn't know. Also, I feel like we're getting ready for like,
06:54like a wedding or like a bachelor party. What are we doing?
07:02We met, there's something called series fest in Austin. No, ATX festival. Yes. Yeah. In Austin.
07:10With Tom Verica. And we were there for a scandal panel and Tom Verica,
07:14he was the producing director of scandal played your dad on American dreams. Yes. And he said,
07:19you two are going to meet and be like this. Yes. And we met and I was taken aback by her beauty. But then
07:27when this audition came out for the hunting wives, I called Tom Verica to put in a good word for me to
07:34get the role because he knew who was directing the pilot. And didn't you ask Tom Verica to do the same?
07:37Definitely. And that's how he fell in love. Long story short. Hard.
07:42Okay. What else? I don't think this puppy is moving. That's for sure. No.
07:46I am wearing a line. It's this gorgeous dress that the minute that I saw it, especially with the
07:56beads in the back, I knew I wanted to wear it. There's this great movie. What a way to go with
08:01Shirley MacLaine. There's a shot of her sitting and there's these beautiful pearls down her back
08:07from 1964. And so that was our inspiration for this dress. Okay guys, I'll see you in a second.
08:13Got to get ready.
08:19We're out. Oh no, there's Pellegrino. I'm already having a great time.
08:23Okay. This is the look. Stop. I feel so good. I feel so glamorous and everyone did such an amazing
08:32job. I love my team. And that's who we're celebrating tonight. These people. So I'm very,
08:37very, very happy. Yay. Oh, I, I just, I mean, I'm just high for it. Makeup styling. Everyone.
08:43Hunwavs. Hunwavs drank a lot of margaritas. Margaritas. So this is tilt. It's tequila. So it's
08:49similar. And I won't get it on my dress. Cheers. Like this. Cheers. Now we're supposed to play never have
08:55I ever. No. Oh my God. We've got a sprinter because of this dress. Uh-huh.
09:09I know. InStyle is not messing around. I know. We can't have to lay down. No, I have to stand up.
09:16I just didn't. Wait. This is unsafe. Don't think about it. Don't think about it. Welcome to the party,
09:21boss. We're going to Vegas. Oh my God. Thanks so much InStyle. You guys have been so much fun.
09:29Thanks for getting ready with me. Bye. I'll be standing for the next 15. Oh, 15 minutes.
09:35Okay. Oh, okay. She's really smart. I swear. What's happening? Bye.
09:47One time I asked my stylist, we were going on so many nights in a row of events and my feet were dead,
09:53dead. And unanimously people said, you have to have a drink, take two Advil, and just keep on moving.
10:05I already took the two Advil. These are actually surprisingly comfortable. They're Jimmy Choo.
10:12They're very comfortable. They're very comfortable, I swear. Thank you, Jimmy Choo.
