Mit Huawei's Qiankun ADS 3.0 und dem fortschrittlichen DiSus-P Karosseriekontrollsystem hebt sich der Bao 8 deutlich von der Konkurrenz ab. Das intelligente Fahrassistenzsystem macht den Bao 8 zum ersten BYD-Modell, das komplett eigenständig von einem Parkplatz zum nächsten navigieren kann. 00:18The BAU-8 is presented as the world's first intelligent hardcore SUV and is set to be officially available on the market from tomorrow.

00:31What makes this vehicle special is that it is the first model of its kind to emerge from a collaboration between the two companies.
00:39The BAU-8 is powered by a 36,864 kWh LFP blade battery from BYD subsidiary Findreams and weighs an impressive 3,305 kg when empty.
00:50This high weight naturally affects the range.
00:56The BAU can cover 8 km on electric power alone.
01:00According to the manufacturer, the combined fuel consumption is around 8.87 L per 100 km.
01:07Under the hood, the BAU-8 has a lot to offer.
01:11It is powered by a 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 200 kVA and thus 268 hp.

01:23The combustion engine is supported by two electric motors, each contributing 200 and 300 kW, resulting in an impressive total output of 550 kW and almost 750 hp.
01:34This enables the BAU-8 to sprint from 0 to 100 km per hour in a fleet of 4.8 seconds.
01:44The range, which is specified as up to 1,200 km combined, is also impressive.
01:49The BAU-8 is based on the DMO platform from Fangcheng, where the O stands for Off-Road and DM for Dual Mode, indicating the dual engine.
01:59The design is based on the previously released BAU-5 model and features a robust front section with a large bumper, block-shaped headlights and a trapezoidal radiator grille, which gives the BAU-8 a striking off-road look.
02:15The advanced equipment includes the DS-USP body control system, which adapts the movement of the chassis with a suspension travel of up to 200 mm.
02:26The system itself was only released in April 2023 and includes two other variants, the DAI-C and DAI-A.
02:37The BAU-8 will also be the first BYD model to be equipped with Huawei's Qianun Ad's 3.0 Intelligent Driving Assistance System.
02:44This system, which uses a network architecture for maximum safety and efficiency, among other things, enables the BAU to drive independently from one parking space to the next.

03:04The vehicle will be available in stores from tomorrow, with demonstration vehicles already in Fangcheng Go BAU stores.
03:10The first deliveries are expected to be completed by November at the latest.
03:16Since the Fangcheng Go brand was founded on August 16, 2023, the BAU-5 is the first and so far only model of this new brand.
