00:17After 15 years, the long-standing off-road vehicle from Toyota is saying goodbye and entering its 6th generation.
00:23The new Farrunner is based on the group's brand-new off-road platform and is the off-road version of the Tacoma pickup, which was first introduced in 2024.
00:36The design of the front of the Farrunner is very similar to that of the Tacoma, while the hack consistently continues the new design language of Toyota off-roaders with its wide-flared headlights, compact LED taillights and robust styling elements such as the underbody protection and a powerful central handle.
00:53Right from the start, Toyota is presenting the Trailhunter, the mandatory off-road tuning model of the series in the USA, and a total of 9 equipment levels will be available in the future.
01:07The new Farrunner is based on the Toyota new global architecture in the F version, which stands for FRAME.
01:14This platform now also serves as the substructure for the Farrunner, as has already been the case with various other new models.
01:21With this, Toyota is saying goodbye to the tried-and-tested but-now-aging 4-liter V6 engine and its also-outdated 5-speed automatic transmission.
01:30The new drive consists of a more economical 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbo-gasoline engine with 282 horsepower and 512 newm of torque.
01:40The hybrid version, known as the i-Force Max, achieves a system output of 330 horsepower and a maximum torque of 630 newm.
01:48The new 8-speed automatic transmission is installed as standard in all variants.
01:56The VIA runner is offered with three different drive systems.
02:01The basic models are equipped with rear-wheel drive, but at least have a differential lock for off-road driving.
02:06There are 4x4 versions with selectable and permanent all-wheel drive, with an integrated off-road reduction gear in both cases.

02:48These include traction control, various driving programs of the Multi-Terrain Select System and the Off-Road Cruise Control Crop, which have already been used in other recently introduced Toyota off-road vehicles.
03:02In addition, the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 system with various safety assistance such as the radar-controlled adaptive cruise control, the lane-keeping assistant and the emergency braking assistant with pedestrian detection is integrated as standard.
03:21These advanced safety features also make the new Farrunner theoretically attractive for free import to Europe.
03:26The off-road version Trailhunter, for which Toyota collaborated with the accessory suppliers OMI and ARB, deserves special attention.

04:05Sales of the 2025 Farrunner will begin at Toyota Motor Corporation's Tahara plant in Japan, and the model has been available to order in the U.S. since December 2024.
