00:00Hello and welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog on the topic of the Opel Mokker.
00:10As always, you can find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
00:16The following video shows the hybrid version of a MOA 225 in chic dark blue.
00:23Another video on our channel, which is linked in the article description, shows a light blue Mokker Electric.
00:30The Opel Mokker, which has been delivered since the end of 2020, presents itself as a versatile vehicle in the facelift,
00:39which is available with both conventional combustion engines and as a purely electric vehicle.
00:47Since summer 2024, an electrified mild hybrid has also been added to the range.
00:54The basic version of the combustion engine starts at a price of at least 26,740 euros.
01:00While the electric originally cost exactly 10,000 euros more in the base price, i.e. from 36,740 euros.
01:10However, this price has now been reduced by around 4,000 euros.
01:15The 48-volt mild hybrid is available from at least 29,740 euros.
01:20While the price for the combustion engine has remained stable since June 2024, the electric versions have been priced accordingly.
01:32The only combustion engine available is a 1.2-liter three-cylinder, which delivers 166 horsepower in the manual version and a slightly reduced 130 horsepower in the automatic version.
01:43The Mokker with combustion engine can optionally be equipped with a trailer hitch, which enables a towing capacity of 620 to 1,200 kg.
01:55In addition to the gasoline engine, there is now also a hybrid version that combines the familiar combustion engine with a 28-hp electric motor.
02:06The system uses an electrified six-speed dual-clutch transmission and enables purely electric, locally emission-free driving at low speeds.
02:16The previously available 1.5-liter diesel with 110 horsepower and 250 newton-meters of torque can no longer be configured.
02:31The electrically-powered version, the Opel Mokker Electric, has been impressing since its technical revision in 2023 with a battery with a capacity of 54 kWh and a new electric motor that delivers an output of 156 horsepower
02:45in combination with a torque of 260 newton-meters.
02:55According to the WLTP standard, this engine consumes 15.4 kWh per 100 kilometers per hour, which gives the vehicle a maximum range of 403 kilometers on a full charge.
03:06As part of the facelift, the electric entry-level model, which was previously equipped with 136 horsepower and a smaller battery, was discontinued,
03:18so that the focus is now on the currently more powerful variants.
03:21The realignment of the model range is supplemented by the possibility of an Opel Mokker GSE in the future as part of the GSE logic.
03:31In the case of electric or plug-in hybrid variants with a sportier setup, an Opel Mokker GSE can also be expected.
03:38However, there are no plans for an upgrade to the existing versions in terms of performance.
03:45The external appearance of the Opel Mokker is characterized by the new visor running horizontally across the entire width of the vehicle.
03:53Modern and striking, which also frames the standard LED headlights.
03:57This design element was already introduced with the new edition in 2020 and gives the model an unmistakable profile.
04:10The length of the vehicle is approximately 4 meters and 15 centimeters, while the A width is specified as 1.87 centimeters and the height is 1.53 centimeters.
04:22Dimensions that give the compact SUV an agile and at the same time stable appearance.
04:27The city hall-filling 18-inch tires, which underline the sporty character of the vehicle, are also striking.
04:36Since model year 2025, buyers have been able to choose between the two equipment lines edition and GSIN.
04:45In addition to a striking two-tone paint finish, the latter also offers high-gloss black design elements.
04:50In addition, the new Opel logo and a slightly modified bumper design have been integrated into the current generation of the Mokker.
05:02Inside, the Opel Mokker has set new standards with the fully digital cockpit under the name Peer Panel.
05:07Two widescreen displays, both standard 10 inches in size since the facelift, display all important information and enable intuitive operation, supported by voice control.
05:19As a special feature, ChatGPT integration, available as an optional package, can be activated on request, which enables the infotainment system to learn.
05:31Despite the digital equipment, Opel is sticking to the tradition of fixed controls and has discreetly integrated physical buttons for functions such as the air conditioning into the new cockpit layout.
05:44The center console also features a charging cradle for smartphones, which enables wireless connection via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, thus easily connecting to the infotainment system.
05:59The trunk also offers flexible options, as the capacity of the models with the combustion engine varies between 350 and 1105L, while the volume of the electric version is reduced to 310 to 1056L.
06:22An adjustment that somewhat limits the space in the electric model.
06:25In terms of safety, the Opel Mokker Electric is well-equipped.
06:33Numerous assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and a panoramic rear-view camera with a viewing angle of 180 degrees, combined with the optional adaptive LED matrix light that blocks out oncoming traffic, ensure a high level of protection.
06:48In the Euro-inch crash test, the small SUV achieved 4 out of 5 stars, with 1 star deducted due to the lack of emergency braking assistant and center airbag.
07:01Occupant protection is 71% for adults and 75% for children, while pedestrian protection only achieves 58% and the safety systems are rated at 64%.
07:17Behind the wheel, the Opel Mokker Electric is surprisingly mature and dynamic, which does not compromise efficiency even when driving with a bit of determination.
07:30A factor that particularly appeals to buyers who can live with limited space and are prepared to invest over €36,000 to continue to enjoy this timelessly designed model in 2025.
