Der neue 2026 Nissan Roox ist da – und er setzt MaßstĂ€be in der Welt der Kei-Cars! Das kompakte City-Car aus Japan kommt als erstes seiner Klasse mit einem riesigen 12,3-Zoll-Infotainment-Display daher. Ausgestattet mit NissanConnect, Google Maps, Google Assistant und Google Play, hebt er die digitale Ausstattung in kleinen Fahrzeugen auf ein ganz neues Level.

Auch optisch gibt's ein Upgrade: neues Frontdesign, stylische RĂŒckleuchten und satte 17 Lackierungen – darunter der brandneue Farbton „Karahafu“. Innen ĂŒberzeugt der Roox mit mehr Platz (2,3 m InnenraumlĂ€nge), weichen Melange-Stoffsitzen und cleveren Stauraumlösungen.

Dazu kommen Hightech-Features wie der Around View Monitor mit „Invisible Hood View“, 3D-Kameraansicht, ProPILOT, Notbremsassistent und Totwinkelwarner.

Der Preis bleibt typisch Kei-Car: Der neue Roox startet in Japan ab etwa 9.200 €. Release ist Ende 2025 – aber leider nur auf dem japanischen Markt.

00:00Welcome to the new video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:05Today, we're talking about a real highlight from the land of the rising sun,
00:09the brand new 2026 Nissan Rooks, which not only heralds the fourth generation of this popular
00:15model, but is also the first Kai ever to be equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen.
00:24That may sound like a small detail, but in the world of Kai cars,
00:29those particularly compact vehicles that were specially designed for the narrow streets of
00:34Japan, this is a huge technological leap. Since its introduction in 2009, back then still as an
00:42offshoot of the Suzuki palette, the Rooks has continued to evolve. At the latest since the
00:48palette was discontinued in 2013, the Rook has been a standalone model with a clear design and
00:54technological direction. The 26 version clearly shows that Nissan not only wants to survive in
01:01this vehicle class, but also to set new standards. The exterior already presents itself with a revised
01:08front design, in which a new design element, a rounded square, dominates the headlights.
01:15The taillights, door handles and rims have also been revised, adding a fresh touch to the vehicle's
01:21already charming appearance. Particularly noteworthy is the range of exterior paint finishes, which has
01:28now grown to 17 colors, including 6 two-tone combinations and 11 single-color variants.
01:35One highlight is the new Karahafu color, inspired by the curved gable shape of traditional Japanese
01:41roofs. However, it's inside that things really get impressive. Here you can quickly see how Nissan has
01:49made the most of the limited dimensions of a cake. The interior length has been increased by 11.5
01:56centimeters to a total of around 2.3 meters. This means that four adults can also find surprisingly
02:02comfortable space in the rear seats. The interior design once again picks up on the round square
02:08motif used on the outside, this time on the headrests and even in the speedometer. The seats are upholstered
02:15in a new, particularly soft and elastic fabric called melange, which is more reminiscent of high-quality
02:21sofas than car seats in this price range. Comfort for passengers in the back has been improved in many
02:27areas. According to Nissan, Neeroom is the best in its class, and the width of the standard sliding door
02:35also achieves top marks at 65 centimeters. Grab handles have been integrated, similar to those in
02:41larger SUVs, to make entry easier, especially for older passengers or children. The trunk concept is
02:48also cleverly thought out. Four suitcases with a volume of 48 L each fit in the approximately 68
02:55centimeters long luggage compartment. In addition, there are numerous storage compartments, cup holders,
03:02drawers, drawers, and a sliding center console throughout the interior, which can safely stow small items
03:08such as smartphones or wallets. The new Rooks is also cutting-edge in terms of technology.
03:16The aforementioned 12.3-inch infotainment unit uses the Nissan Connect system, which integrates Google
03:23Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play for the first time. Another new function called Remote
03:30Photoshop Photoshot allows the vehicle owner to photograph and monitor the car remotely using a
03:35smartphone. A convenience feature that was previously only available in higher vehicle classes,
03:41the safety area has also been significantly upgraded. The new Rook now offers the intelligent
03:48around-view monitor with invisible hood. This allows the driver to look through the hood,
03:54so to speak, in order to better identify obstacles directly in front of the vehicle.
03:59This system is supported by an all-round 3D view and a front wide-angle camera.
04:06In addition to well-known assistance systems such as the ProElet, an intelligent emergency braking
04:11function is now also on board, which detects pedestrians and oncoming vehicles.
04:16An active blind spot assistant also supports lane changes. Under the hood, the Rook remains true to
04:24itself. Although Nissan does not provide any precise technical data, it is assumed that it will continue
04:30to rely on compact combustion engines, which are now supposed to be even quieter and more efficient.
04:36No specific figures for performance or fuel consumption are yet available. However,
04:41Kais like the Rook traditionally operate in fuel-efficient regions. Another plus point for city traffic.
04:48Finally, the price is also particularly interesting. The new Nissan Rook model series is set to hit the
04:56market in Japan before the end of the year and will start at around 1.6 million yen.
05:02That's around 9,200 euros. For a vehicle with this level of equipment and technological sophistication,
05:10it's a real bargain, at least in the Japanese context. Although the Rooks is limited to the domestic
05:17market, it impressively demonstrates how much creativity and innovation can be packed into a
