Der Škoda Octavia RS und der Octavia Combi RS bekommen ein ordentliches Upgrade! Mit 265 PS unter der Haube sprinten sie in 6,4 bzw. 6,5 Sekunden auf 100 km/h. Die schwarzen Designelemente, das tiefergelegte Sportfahrwerk und die roten Bremssättel machen direkt klar: Hier steckt echtes RS-Feeling drin.

Aber nicht nur die Optik stimmt – das Sportfahrwerk sorgt für optimales Handling, während die Sportabgasanlage für satten Sound sorgt. Der Innenraum überzeugt mit Sportsitzen, einem 13-Zoll-Infotainment-Display und vielen RS-Details. Dazu gibt’s Matrix-LED-Scheinwerfer und eine elektrische Heckklappe.

00:16the video description. The Škoda Octavia RS and its estate version, the Octavia Kombi RS,
00:22are among the sportiest models from the Czech manufacturer.
00:25Both vehicles have experienced a significant increase in performance with the latest model
00:32generation and now offer a maximum output of 265 horsepower from a turbocharged 2-liter
00:37turbo-gasoline engine. They thus surpass their predecessors in terms of performance and
00:44efficiency. The engine provides a maximum torque of 370 Nm, which is transmitted to the front wheels
00:52via a Seabang dual-clutch transmission. The Octavia RS accelerates from 0-100 kmh in 6.4 seconds,
01:03while the slightly heavier Octavia Kombi RS takes only slightly longer at 6.5 seconds.
01:11Both vehicles reach an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmh. Visually, the RS models
01:20can be recognized by numerous black design elements that ensure a particularly sporty appearance.
01:27These include the black radiator grille, black exterior mirror caps and black accents on the
01:32front and rear aprons. A continuous red reflector strip at the rear further sets the vehicle apart
01:39from the standard models. The light alloy wheels have also been aerodynamically optimized and are
01:45available in sizes up to 19 inches. The standard Matrix LED main headlights ensure improved illumination
01:53of the road, while the LED taillights with animated indicators add a modern touch. The interior of the
02:00Skoda Octavia RS has also been specifically trimmed for sportiness. Black sports seats with integrated
02:07headrests and red contrasting stitching underline the dynamic ambiance. The multifunction sports steering
02:15wheel is covered in leather and bears the new RS emblem. Skoda offers the design selection RS lounge as an
02:22option, which includes perforated ergonomic seats with lumbar support and massage function. The dashboard has a
02:30also been revised and now features a modern dark carbon design with red contrasting stitching.
02:38A 13-inch infotainment display with navigation system is standard equipment and offers improved
02:43user-friendliness. In terms of chassis, the Octavia RS relies on a specially tuned sports suspension
02:51that lowers the body by 15mm. This improves handling in fast corners, while the electromechanical front
03:00axle differential lock ensures optimum power distribution between the front wheels.
03:07The progressive steering adjusts the steering ratio depending on the speed,
03:11allowing the vehicle to be maneuvered precisely both at high speeds and in narrow city sections.
03:18The adaptive DCC chassis can be ordered as an option for even greater driving dynamics.
03:23This offers various driving modes from comfortable to sporty and adapts the damper characteristics to
03:31the road conditions in real time. In terms of brakes, Skoda relies on high-performance,
03:39all-round ventilated brake discs. The front brake discs measure 340 by 30mm, while the rear axle is
03:47fitted with discs measuring 310 by 22mm. The red painted brake calipers further emphasize the model's sporty ambitions.
04:00Another highlight of the new RS models is the revised sports exhaust system.
04:04This not only provides a distinctive soundscape, but also offers optimized accelerator pedal
04:09response in sport mode for a more direct driving experience. At the same time, measures have been taken
04:16to reduce fuel consumption, so that the combined consumption is between 6.4 and 7.8 L per 100 km.
04:26This corresponds to CO2 emissions in the range of 146 to 178 grams per kilometer.
04:31The success story of the Skoda Octavia RS now goes back 25 years. Since the first generation in 2000,
04:42the model has established itself as a permanent fixture in the sporty compact segment. To date,
04:48over 350,000 units have been sold, with almost half of the vehicles going to German customers.
04:54This popularity underlines the special position of the Octavia RS as a sporty
05:01yet everyday vehicle with an attractive price-performance ratio.
