00:00all right hi people it's easier and i'm here to do an amazing video today and review of the

00:07memorial edition master license from tokusou sentai dagger ranger this came out last year

00:12but i believe but i am or maybe it was earlier this year but i am finally getting around to

00:18reviewing it because i did not buy it when it came out because i just didn't have the money

00:23but yeah but i bought this on uh by it was the only listing that they had and i think i bought it

00:31from a uh a um a book off i think because that was the packaging it came in but yeah um

00:42or maybe that maybe they just used like to go packaging from that i don't know but yeah but

00:49the packaging said book off so yeah which if you don't know is a store in japan it's a store chain

00:53linked to stuff like off house hobby off hard off and a few other things as well that um are throughout

01:02japan and they're basically just um secondhand stores for like toys video games books movies and tv show

01:11like blu-rays and dvds um hardware software stuff like that so yeah but this was basically

01:21uh unused i believe it wasn't um i don't know if it was well it was like clear wrap i don't know if it

01:29was like the actual like um plastic wrap that this originally came in or if the store just packaged it

01:35that way um i believe this was open so yeah but it wasn't used there was still the pull tab in it

01:42which i looked at this for a second and pulled that out and it still works fine so it is basically

01:48new um so yeah but it's still good and funnily enough this cost me less than to get than either

01:56the uh the sp license or the sp1 license which i will compare with this because it is the same mold

02:03that's just different like paint and stuff in the electronics but yeah but i'm glad to have this as

02:08well and uh in a previous video from i think last year i compared the uh original spd toy to the

02:17um sp license but i think that was before this was announced but yeah um but here we go so the

02:27packaging on this is exactly the same or almost exactly the same as the sp license and the sp1

02:35license it just is just changed to be deca master instead of deca red so yeah same positioning of

02:44everything same pictures of the or renders whatever it is of the helmets although from a slightly

02:50different angle from this not exactly a profile view but just from the side you know these in the

02:55exact same place and the numbers for the rangers right there plus the 20th anniversary of the deck

03:01ranger series uh logo right there everything is basically the same in terms of layout so yeah so

03:09here we go the side right here you get the golden police badge and everything spd master memorial license

03:17on top of this you have spd special police deca ranger which is in english um which i think

03:23has the same for everything so yeah that's very interesting i didn't note that i think on the

03:29previous ones bottom is just a bunch of legal information the other side right here is the

03:34picture of the thing itself and in the back you get um assuming the mix of legal information and

03:41what this is you get a picture of a doggy pooger and yes he was the same or the name was carried

03:47over into power rangers spd for his counterpart so yeah the only thing that's different that was

03:53different about him in terms of like looks was the um the uh suit was a new original sort of thing a

04:00dog mixed with like a lizard type thing as opposed to like i don't know a werewolf type thing it looks

04:07more like a furry but yeah um and a little bit more electronics i believe i think the only electronics

04:13in this from what i've seen of it in um go catcher specifically i think the only electronics were

04:19of the mouth to make it open and close whenever the character would speak but yeah uh actually now

04:26i think about it there's probably no there's probably no tape on the sides here um because

04:30normal religion stuff doesn't have that but yeah so just to compare the packaging to the other ones

04:37these are basically uh exactly the same only this is japanese instead um i'm assuming that just says

04:47license in japanese whereas this has it entirely in english and this has it entirely in english too

04:54which is just interesting to me um top you've still got the english text for the

05:01deco ranger logo and everything and then on the other side here you just have pictures of them

05:12so it's pretty consistent across the board on the back yeah so right here you have the five

05:17the main five deco rangers um and you have nothing on the back here but legal information so let's put

05:23that off to the side so yeah so basically everything in terms of the packaging is consistent

05:28from the memorial license or the sp1 license so that's pretty good so here we go uh this did have

05:36tape on it that i removed so yeah so then we have the master license and the holster for it which is

05:44actually pretty cool um so yeah and as you can see it's the same mold as this although instead of like

05:51a more metallic kind of silvery pattern like it is for the sp license this is more of a matte black

06:01kind of the inside is still a little glossy because it really doesn't matter but yeah so they're

06:07basically the same um yeah even i think even this molding yeah even this molding is the same and

06:16it says bandai 2017 because i i don't know i think it was a release of the what the artisan version or

06:22something like that um but yeah uh this just has i'm assuming that's a serial number on it but yeah

06:31but otherwise it looks like it's the exact same molding just in black plastic instead of silver

06:36or gray so yeah so here we go with this and inside here it's like or similarly to the sp license is

06:50uh these badges that you can have i already took out the one that says

06:55uh decamaster but there's also one for doggy kruger himself so yeah

07:02um um d arms d sword they they they don't get it right on the official stuff it's d sword vega not

07:13d sword vega but you know these and these are rendered very similarly when japanese people speak

07:21uh so i'm not surprised but here we go with the um memorial master license

07:31and to compare this to the sp license they're the exact same molds as you can probably tell

07:36the only difference is this is white text this is um gold

07:42and these are this is just the outlines as whereas these are the filled in letters

07:49yeah yeah

07:53the lettering looks like it's maybe spread out or boldened a little bit more on this versus this

08:01they're the exact same otherwise um and to compare this to the 2005 uh US release of it

08:11which i still have um yeah you can tell that they made a lot of upgrades i think this is based on the

08:17japanese mold if not the japanese mold itself so yeah obviously they have these and um i never noticed

08:24us as a kid, the star from the Decoranger suits remained, because, uh, the Decoranger suits,

08:31uh, their, their uniforms, uh, have the stars on them, whereas they removed that, or just didn't

08:38have that in, uh, SPD, so that was kept in the mold for the toys, um, but yeah, and these are filled in,

08:46um, gold and everything, so yeah, and this is obviously bigger to fit in your hands,

08:52and we have all that, the back is obviously different, and this doesn't have the second

08:58setting for phone mode, so yeah, so yeah, so we have the, uh, things right here, I don't know what

09:07these are, that's, that's just, uh, that must be the, um, okay, does this have that?

10:25And on the inside here, you got, obviously, Dekamaster with everything.

10:31So yeah, it looks pretty good.

10:33So yeah, and to compare it to the 2005 toy, yeah, they basically just kept the numbers

10:42right here as opposed to the badges, which, you know, I don't know if those were in the

10:48original release or not from Japan, but yeah, you can see that this is really, really faded

10:54because I think, I think because I, it was like in storage for a bit or for a while, but

11:00yeah, so, it's going to change it to phone mode.

11:48Okay, so then the, uh, the voice lines just repeat, so here we go with judgment mode.

12:07Yeah, and on this, the, uh, the, uh, innocent thing is blue instead of green, and it has

12:23the same functionality as the initial, uh, toy, or the initial, the SP license where,

12:33you know, you'll hold, you press it down once just to, um, you press it down once just

12:41to, uh, uh, what is it, um, have guilty, and then you hold it down for a few seconds

12:47to have innocence, so here we go.

13:03So yeah, uh, I guess that's a bit of that, let's change it to phone mode, see if anything's

13:10different.

16:59Okay, so it repeats a few of the voice clips from the other mode.

17:15Okay, so it repeats a few lines from the other mode, but then it takes a lot of the voice lines from the show, and maybe a few other places.

17:25I have not seen DecoRanger. The only DecoRanger-like media that I've seen realistically is the crossover in GoPager from, I think, episode 5 of that show.

17:36So yeah, but here we go, judgment mode.

17:55Okay, so all you get in judgment mode is the scene.

18:08But yeah, all you get in the judgment mode is just a line from Doggy Kruger and then a line from the narrator.

18:19So yeah, um, well yeah, um, actually just, yeah, just to compare this, um, yeah.

18:32It's the original, so I just used stickers, whereas the Memorial Edition uses the, uh, what do you call them?

18:40The, uh, LEDs built right into the thing, so yeah, which is actually really cool.

20:55Uh, I would also search places like Baie or whatever.

20:58Um, just know if you're buying from Japan because of the current situation with the terrorists right now.

21:04Um, they cannot ship things outside of the country through regular, uh, Japanese, the regular Japanese, uh, post office.

21:12So, yeah, you're going to have to pay a third-party company to ship it overseas.

21:18Um, to which I pay about an extra 30 bucks, unfortunately, over the, or in addition to the price I paid for this one, Baie.

21:27So, yeah, um, elect better people next time.

21:31But anyways, uh, yeah, um, who don't think that tariffing the shit out of other countries is the only way to go economically.

21:40But anyways, so, yeah, so, this has basically been really cool.

21:45And these are pretty much the definitive versions of these toys.

21:47They'll probably re-release them again at some point, maybe for the 30th or 35th anniversaries of Deck of the Ranger.

21:53But we will see.

21:54So, yeah, so, yeah, not much else to say.
