The stars of ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ — Tim Curry (Dr. Frank-N-Furter), Barry Bostwick (Brad Majors), Patricia Quinn (Magenta), and Nell Campbell (Columbia) — reunite to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the cult classic that forever changed midnight movies. Together, they look back on the wild early days of ‘Rocky Horror,’ including their unexpected casting stories.

00:00Well, you guys got cast off the street.

00:03I mean, you were there forever.

00:05Yeah, we were hookers.

00:09I was working the block in tap shoes.

00:11I was a very serious actress, actually.

00:13Yes, you were.

00:14I was busking in the streets of London.

00:16And Jim saw me busking.

00:18And I used to dress in top hat and tails and tap dance

00:21and sing 1930s and 40s songs.

00:24And I was tap dancing on a table top.

00:27They walked into the cafe, and Jim just

00:30turned to Richard O'Brien and said, and there's your servant.

00:34You're lucky to be invited up to Frank's laboratory.

00:36I saw you in a play called ACDC.

00:39Oh, yes, you were right.

00:40And you were amazing.

00:42Bless your heart.

00:42That was upstairs at the royal court.

00:44Same room, same building.

00:46I actually suggested that they should talk to you.

00:50Whoa.

00:52Never knew that.

00:53Yeah, it's true.

00:54Good heavens.

00:55Things you find out.

00:57And the reason that I did it is because of Tim.

01:00Because we saw him on stage at the Roxy.

01:03You just ate that theater up.

01:05And it was, how could I not want to be in a musical with you?

01:11It was an extraordinary experience for me.

01:13And I learned so much about how to walk in high heels.

01:19I bumped into Richard O'Brien, who I knew from the touring company of Hair.

01:25Yeah.

01:26I said, what are you doing on my street?

01:28And he said, I've written a musical.

01:30And you should...

01:31Audition?

01:32Yeah.

01:33Yeah.

01:34I sang Tutti Frutti from Little Richard.

01:37Yeah.

01:38Which was pretty fruity, really.

01:41Susan come...

01:43To the audition.

01:44And that's why he cast...

01:46Because you and Susan were an item at the time.

01:48Oh, well, we're not going to talk about that.

01:53I knew her a little.

01:54You suggested her for it.

01:56I think I maybe did.
