KOALA RESCUED FROM COW FIELD TAKES JOYRIDE TO SAFETY
WITH PIX AND VID
By Shuk Yee Tsang
A stranded koala found itself in a paddock surrounded by cows and calves, but a quick-thinking farmer came to the rescue.
Edward Gubbins, 29, from Mortlake, Victoria, Australia, spotted the distressed marsupial after the herd gathered around it.
Acting fast, he gently placed the koala on his quad bike and drove it to a nearby tree where it could safely climb to freedom.
The video, which Edward filmed himself, has since gone viral, amassing over 4.6 million views and plenty of amused reactions from viewers around the world.
Edward said: "A koala found itself in a paddock with cows and calves, who certainly weren’t happy about the visitor.
"I put the koala on the quad bike and over to a nearby tree."
Comments from viewers poured in.
One viewer said: “His friends are never going to believe him…”
Another said: “Was bro dropped off by a UFO? Ain’t no tree nearby lol.”
A third said: “The MOST Australian video ever. Accent. Cows. Koala.”
A fourth said: “The cows didn’t think he had the right koalifications to join the herd.”
