00:00How bad will it be if they lose this weekend?
00:04It won't be bad, but it'll get you thinking, you know, now it's an uphill fight.
00:10It won't be bad.
00:11It will be bad.
00:12Will it?
00:12Yeah, it will, and I'll tell you why.
00:13But if they lose, all right, go ahead.
00:16I'm going to tell you why.
00:16Go ahead.
00:17If they lose, they've really only got one team on their schedule that they had a big test against.
00:23They passed the test in the first go-round against Buffalo.
00:26Let's say they split with Buffalo, and Buffalo wins here, and you also lost to Tampa Bay.
00:31Where does that put you in the power rankings?
00:34Certainly doesn't have you second in the NFL as high as one person put them this week.
00:40That you beat the teams you're supposed to beat.
00:42That's where it puts you.
00:43You split with a team in your division, a really good team, and then the other big-time, hyped-up sort of contest, you lost.
00:52So what did you really achieve?
00:53You could argue.
00:54Against the good teams.
00:55And I'm not talking about whether or not they had a good season.
00:57I'm just talking about in that the expectations and the bar has been raised.
01:03And if you think they can go on a little bit of a run in the playoffs, I think you've got to have this game.
01:09If not, it's just, hey, they're doing a good job cleaning up against bad teams, and we love that, and we're enjoying the season.
01:15And they're probably not going to make much noise against real playoff teams.
01:18But this is about reputation.
01:20This is a reputation check for the Patriots on Sunday.
01:23How good are you?
