00:00Well, the New South Wales Premier's Spelling Bee wrapped up in Penrith on Friday, November 7,

00:06and Western New South Wales actually had three kids down at the tournament competing.

00:12Two of those kids comes from Hardgraves Public School, just north of Hill End.

00:16And if you know anything about Hill End, the population isn't big out there.

00:18In fact, there's only 13 kids out of that school,

00:21and a pretty remarkable achievement for two kids to qualify for the state finals.

00:26Here's what the two kids actually had to spell.

00:29Prima, in year two at Hardgraves, he had to spell saxophone, duplicitous, and independent.

00:36His classmate, Ewan Matik, had to spell ornthology.

00:39Now, how would you go spelling those words?

00:41We'll reveal the actual spelling at the end of the video,

00:45and you can find out if you're as smart as a primary school kid.

00:49Further up north in our region at Coon of Arabin Public School,

00:53William Wetherill, he had to spell coincidence, caricature, and impertinence.

00:58He got the first year right, and then he went out on the third one.
