00:00I was already in labor for about 72 hours. They kept sending me home because my body wouldn't

00:05dilate. So I was stuck at five centimeters with excruciating contractions. And for three days,

00:13my contractions were between two and 20 minutes apart. When she finally got the hospital meds,

00:18she had an unexpected reaction. To describe it accurately, I was tripping balls. I took an Uber

00:24here. She just checked me and I'm 17 and a half centimeters. You could park a whole trailer

00:34park in here. Like I said, we ain't checking out till we getting a baby. I'm having a baby,

00:39y'all. It feels like an Irishman was dancing in my uterus. That's not bad. My pelvic floor

00:47hurts. Hurts. Oh, and here comes another contractions.

00:54Her body is struggling to relax and labor can't progress till it does. Contract with

01:01me. I don't know how to explain it. Some people, you feel like your face is melting off and like

01:07you see crazy things. I definitely experienced that. But then it's like afterwards, it's like

01:12it's like floating on a cloud. So in order for it to continuously work, you had to breathe in

01:21and breathe out the entire time with your face in the mask. I'm claustrophobic, so I couldn't do that

01:25the whole time. And not only that, not every single time would I breathe it was I having a good

01:29experience. I take a couple breaths in, take a couple breaths out. And the minute I come out of

01:33it, I would hurt again. So some of the times that I was breathing it in, I was having this amazing,

01:38pain-free high, and my vagina was floating on a cloud. And then the next time that I would breathe it in,

01:50it would almost intensify the pain.

01:52Oh, we're almost there. We're not quite halfway. Oh, but we're there. Oh, and here comes a contraction.

02:15And she couldn't have anticipated how different this labor would be.

02:25I would say that this was a very different labor and delivery experience than my first two.

02:30First two, I was completely natural, no laughing gas, no pain meds, no epidural, no nothing.

02:35And I really didn't have an issue. But with this one, like I said, I labored for almost 72 hours at

02:41home and I just kept getting turned away. I had to advocate for myself. Oh, it's been an excruciating

02:47three days, but we're at the finish line. And of course, it was all worth it in the end

02:55when her baby girl finally arrived.
