00:08virtually every cause has multiple charities that you can donate to but credit karma suggests you

00:13should do some research to find out which ones are putting your dollars towards helping others

00:18and which ones are using more funds than you'd like on fundraising galas and salaries if you

00:22have a set amount that you'd like to donate fidelity recommends setting up an auto draft

00:26similar to how you probably pay some of your bills this can keep you in line with your budget

00:31and avoid that moment where you forget to make a contribution donating to charity doesn't just

00:35mean money you can also give property as long as they're in good condition clothing or household

00:40items will be a welcome sight at places like goodwill or the salvation army while you're giving

00:45though credit karma says you should save your receipts because certain donations can be tax

00:49deductible but if you're giving 250 or more just remember to get a written record of it from the
