On Tuesday, Norm Macdonald was scheduled to make an appearance on NBC’s 'Tonight Show' but his visit was cancelled in the wake of comments the comedian made during an interview with 'The Hollywood Reporter.'

00:07during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Said a Tonight Show spokesperson,
00:11"...out of sensitivity to our audience and in light of Norm Macdonald's comments in the
00:15press today, The Tonight Show has decided to cancel his appearance on Tuesday's
00:18telecast." Macdonald, who has a new show on Netflix entitled Norm Macdonald Has a
00:22Show debuting this Friday, drew criticism for saying he was happy the Me Too movement
00:27has slowed down a little bit and speaking out about friends and fellow comics Roseanne
00:31Barr and Louis C.K.
00:32"...Roseanne was so broken up after her show's reboot was canceled that I got Louis to
00:36call her, even though Roseanne was very hard on Louis before that," Macdonald said.
00:40"...but she was just so broken and just crying constantly. There are very few people
00:44that have gone through what they have, losing everything in a day. Of course, people
00:48will go, what about the victims? But you know what? The victims didn't have to go through that."
00:52Macdonald quickly drew backlash for his remarks and subsequently took to Twitter to
00:55apologize, writing,
00:57"...Roseanne and Louis have both been very good friends of mine for many years. They
01:01both made terrible mistakes and I would never defend their actions. If my words
01:05sounded like I was minimizing the pain that their victims feel to this day, I'm deeply
01:09sorry." Meanwhile, sources tell THR that Netflix is planning to move forward with
