The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus teams up with Robert Kirkman on a new project.  Air hit the big screen later this year.

00:00The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus is heading back to the big screen with Robert Kirkman's Heir.

00:09What's it like developing a character for film versus a character for television?

00:14Well, the good thing about TV is the time frame.

00:17Like, I can do something and sort of drop a little seed behind me as I do it,

00:20and then a year later that seed turns into a tree and becomes part of the story.

00:24You know, that's kind of hard to do on a movie.

00:27A movie, you sort of have to develop a bunch of backstory to develop this character

00:32and convey all these different things, or not.

00:36But you've watched my hair grow on television.

00:39You know, it's different, you know?

00:40So I kind of like that, to be honest.

00:44And this film in particular, it's mostly the two of you,

00:48so that interplay, and you described it as claustrophobic.

00:52What was it like having the limitations of the time you get in a film to tell the story?

00:57And then having the two of you to play off of?

01:00It was interesting, because I kind of just met him right when we started,

01:03and we had to become friends while we filmed.

01:05And because there's only two people, you don't really have time to hang out

01:11or go to your trailer and talk or sit outside and have a cup of coffee.

01:16You kind of have to go, hi, how are you? Let's do this.

01:18And you kind of sort of figure each other out as you're doing things.

01:21You can't just open one of the tanks and put me inside.

01:25Why not?

01:26But the only one's here.

01:27I'm not doing this.

01:29Have you seen any good Walking Dead cosplay this year?

01:31I know you judged last year, right?

01:33Yeah, me and Greg Nicotero did that.

01:35We judged a little cosplay thing. It was really fun.

01:38Sometimes I see people that dress as me.

01:40Like they come as Norman, like in my clothes,

01:43and they're wearing my hat and wearing these sunglasses.

01:47And, you know, I think they're like getting laid and stuff.

01:51I don't know, it's kind of weird, right?

01:53I don't know.

01:53I remember shooting a scene in The Walking Dead,

01:56and there was a zombie standing over there in the woods behind me,

02:01and I'm sort of sitting like this.

02:02And then I look over, and the zombie's sitting like this.

02:04And then I kind of stretch this way, and the zombie's stretch.

02:06He's doing everything I'm doing.

02:07And then after we cut, I go, well, what are you doing?

02:11And he goes, well, I cosplay as you,

02:13so I'm getting down all your movements.

02:15And I'm like, wow.

02:16Do you have a favorite zombie kill?

02:18I really like the chain and the three head zombies, you know?

02:23Boom, boom, boom.

02:24That was kind of awesome.

02:26And I liked reaching my fingers into the skull

02:28and ripping his spinal cord out

02:30and beating that cop with the head.

02:32That was fun.
