00:00Here we are, it's Oscars week. How does it feel to be part of a nominated film?
00:05Like a dream. Like a whimsical, monumental dream because, you know, if Killers of the Flower Moon cinches any of the ten nominations,
00:16and Lily, for that matter, wins, she's the first indigenous actress to win an Oscar.
00:21And maybe even so more monumental if more than one of the awards is won.
00:28And it feels like a dream. It's really cool. I'm from Canada, so I'm just here hanging out.
00:33And everybody's been so lovely. It feels like a dream.
00:38Yeah, I like went to film school 10 years ago, 15 years ago.
00:44And now it's what I wanted to do. And now I'm here and it's like, pinch me. Is this like even happening? It's so crazy.
00:52What's your favorite memory of working on the film?
00:55I think probably just the camaraderie between the cast.
01:02Getting to know Lily and Janae and Kara.
01:05And I've always wanted to meet and work with Tantu Cardinal, so getting to meet and work with her was like a dream come true.
01:12And yeah, Leo and Bob and Marty, so nice. Like the nicest men.
01:17What's been the highlight of this awards season journey for you with Killers of the Flower Moon?
01:21I would say probably the uprising of the Osage drum group.
01:31They're nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars, which is Monumental.
01:35So I think watching, like this story comes from the Osage people, so watching something so sacred to them be brought to the limelight with the story that it's being told with is so important and monumental for not only like the Indigenous community, but everyone that has an interest or like, you know, was curious about what might have happened.
01:58And aside from your film, what's one other movie, this awards season, that you saw and you loved?
02:04Oh, that's difficult.
02:06Um, I did really like Poor Things.
02:11Yeah.
02:13I like Poor Things. It was so unexpected.
02:16Emma's amazing. Mark is amazing in it.
02:19And it's such a difficult, oh, also Zone of, Zone of Interest.
02:24That was amazing too. I saw that at VEF, which is also amazing and like Sandra Huller and her monologue and that whole thing is so groundbreaking and so descriptive of what women might deal with today, men, you know what I mean?
02:40But yeah, those are my two, I think.
