Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough delayed their planned vacation and appeared on their show 'Morning Joe' Friday morning to respond to President Trump's shockingly personal attack on them a day earlier.

00:10and appeared on their MSNBC show Morning Joe Friday morning

00:13to respond to President Trump's shockingly personal attack on them a day earlier.

00:18I'm fine, Brzezinski said.

00:20My family brought me up really tough.

00:21This is absolutely nothing for me personally.

00:23But I am very concerned as to what this once again reveals about the president of the United States.

00:28We're okay. The country's not, Scarborough said.

00:32Yesterday was just another example of how deeply personal he is.

00:36He attacks women because he fears women.

00:38Thursday, President Trump tweeted that he heard the poorly rated show speaks badly of him,

00:43said low IQ crazy Mika and psycho Joe went to Mar-a-Lago for three nights around New Year's Eve

00:49and insisted on joining him, while Brzezinski was bleeding badly from a facelift.

00:54On the show Friday morning, Brzezinski also said she's concerned about the larger ramifications of Trump's actions

00:59and what they signify.

01:01She said,

01:02He appears to have a fragile, childlike, impetuous ego that we've seen over and over again,

01:08especially with women.

01:09It's like he can't take it.

01:11On Trump's claim that Brzezinski was bleeding badly from a facelift,

01:14the two explained in Scarborough's Weekly Washington Post column that Brzezinski never had a facelift.

01:19They wrote,

01:20She did have a little skin under her chin tweaked, but this was hardly a state secret.

01:25On the show, Brzezinski added,

01:26I'm pretty transparent about what I do and I think it looks awesome.

01:29It looks awesome.

01:30Writing in the Post column, the two passed along a story about a planned hit piece in the National Enquirer.

01:35This year, top White House staff members warned that the National Enquirer

01:39was planning to publish a negative article about us unless we begged the president to have the story spike.

01:45We ignored their desperate pleas.

01:47Then on the Friday show, Scarborough said Trump called him during the campaign

01:51to brag about his friendship with David Pecker, who owns the Enquirer parent company.

01:56There were all these stories that were planted in the National Enquirer

01:59for people who Donald Trump wanted to attack, Scarborough explained.

02:03Apparently, the president tuned in.

02:05Watch low-rated Morning Joe for first time in long time.

02:08Fake news.

02:09He called me to stop a National Enquirer article.

02:12I said no.

02:13Bad show.
