White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt delivered a pointed message on Venezuela, stating that President Trump “is not interested in a prolonged war in Venezuela,” even as regional tensions continue to rise.

Her comments come amid renewed debate in Washington over US strategy toward Nicolás Maduro’s government and growing instability inside Venezuela. While some lawmakers warn of escalating conflict, Leavitt emphasized that Trump’s focus remains on “swift, decisive outcomes,” signaling a rejection of any long-term military engagement.
