00:02Dan Lanning was undefeated in the regular season last year,

00:05lost to top-ranked Ohio State.

00:08Now Oregon fifth overall in the college football playoff rankings.

00:12They do take the draw of the James Madison Dukes.

00:15Oregon, a 21-and-a-half point home favorite in Eugene against JMU.

00:20That game is December 20th.

00:22Talk to me about Dante Moore and how this team has played this year.

00:26Their one loss this year came against top-ranked Indiana.

00:30They lost that matchup 30-20 at home,

00:33but they can run the football as good as anybody in this playoff.

00:37And they have a great defense.

00:39Defense against the passing game may be the best in the country.

00:42Outstanding football team.

00:44Oregon's one of those teams that could very well be like Texas Tech to me

00:49or Georgia right there with the top two teams in the country

00:53for having a chance to go all the way.

00:55And you know what?

00:57Even if you don't get a bye that first week,

00:59I'm not sure that getting a home game against a James Madison

01:02or a team that you're really a lot better than doesn't keep you active,

01:06doesn't keep you playing.

01:08Because you can get a little bit off your game if you sit too long.

01:11So they look like they have the right kind of opponent at home

01:16in the opening round of the playoffs that they're going to be in good shape.

01:20So you like what Oregon's got.

01:22You like the way they played.

01:24If you've only lost one game to the number one team in the country,

01:27and they've got a quarterback and a running game that will go with their defense.

01:32Now, Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks,

01:34assuming they win at home against James Madison,

01:37they'll square off against the fourth overall seed.

01:41That's Texas Tech, one of the best rush defenses in all of college football.

01:46Matchup-wise, do you give the advantage to Oregon

01:49in that matchup potentially in two weeks?

01:52Boy, I tell you, that's a tough one to call there

01:55because I just love what Texas Tech has done with their football team.

01:59Their quarterback has been outstanding.

02:01He's started over 35 games at Texas Tech.

02:04They've got veteran players on defense,

02:06and they have done a remarkable job with the portal transfer.

02:11That week will be the great week of unbelievable matchups.
