00:00Going to start Patriots and we're still talking about this loss to the Buffalo Bills. We spent a
00:04lot of time on the defense. We spent a lot of time on special teams and the disaster that that was
00:08at times for the New England Patriots. Want to focus on the offense to start this show though
00:12and specifically the offensive coordinator and the disaster of a second half and how much of
00:18the blame falls at the feet of Josh McDaniels. Our guys Tommy Curran and Phil Perry debating that
00:25on NBC Sports Boston. Let's take a listen. Do you think maybe the source of any criticism he may
00:31have for the play calling is rooted in some of what you and I talked about right after the game which
00:36was how aggressive were they how you know should should they have been maybe more aggressive less
00:42aggressive. They did only run the ball once in the third quarter and they ended the game and I know
00:48this is because of a couple of monster explosive touchdown runs from Travion Henderson but they
00:53end the game averaging almost 10 yards of carry and I wonder if there's any part of you know not
01:00that he is an always old school blue collar philosopher when it comes to the sport of football
01:07but is there any part of Mike Vrabel who sees that and says Josh can we run we we can't keep the ball
01:12at all right and we seem to be running it pretty well can you try more than I know we ran for negative
01:17one on that first run in the third quarter but could you run it a little bit more please
01:21do you know what they averaged per play in the first half what was it 8.6 that's decent I think
01:28Bob had that number at the half um it's funny that we go right to the right to the coordinator
01:33and not the quarterback because the quarterback got all the flowers when it went in 10 games straight
01:38and part of it is when you're going head-to-head with Josh Allen and you're not productive in the
01:42second half or the fourth quarter when the money's on the line and you had the ball I think it was with
01:47what 643 what we talked about yesterday with Mike Reese and you couldn't get anything done
01:53is it all just on the coordinator and the play call or is it the execution of the play whether
01:59it's a snap the protection the route the adjustment of the route or the accuracy of the pass see I start
02:06to think it's a little bit or mostly on the quarterback because of the pass that he threw
02:09to Mac Hollins that was down and away down low to start that drive like he was wide open yes yeah
02:16but he almost completely missed it they went seven yards in three plays on that final final drive
02:22it's not good enough you can you can blame the coordinator if you want I'm I know the
02:27coordinator is pretty damn good I know the quarterback is pretty damn freaking good
02:32this is a good football team they scored 21 points on answer the first half it was 21 zip I
02:36don't think you could call it a better first half than what Josh McDaniels did I don't think you
02:40could expect a better first half offensively than what the Patriots gave you
